    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for aligning a starting time of a cell-based discontinuous transmission (DTX) and/or discontinuous reception (DRX) mode between a network entity and one or more user equipment (UE) within the serving cell associated with the network entity. The aligning may be accomplished via coordinated signaling. For example, the network may configure a periodic interval for transmitting information related to a discontinuous operation mode in group common downlink control information (GC DCI) messages. In some additional examples, the periodic interval may allow for beam sweeping of the GC DCI messages and efficient cell-based activation or deactivation of the discontinuous operation mode.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may transmit first uplink reference signals in a first time slot. The mobile station may transmit an uplink communication with a frequency domain resource allocation different than a frequency domain resource allocation for the first uplink reference signals. The mobile station may determine a time gap between the transmitted uplink communication and second uplink reference signals to be transmitted in a second time slot and retune the mobile station during the time gap such that the second uplink reference signals maintain phase continuity with the first uplink reference signals. The mobile station may transmit the second uplink reference signals in the second time slot. The first time slot and the second time slot may be consecutive time slots for uplink reference signals. Techniques described herein may enable transmission power control (TPC) for user equipments (UEs) supporting reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). For example, a first UE may receive a control message indicating multiple parameter sets associated with calculating a transmission power for a transmission. Each parameter set may be associated with a communication link, a presence of one or more RISs, and whether the one or more RISs are assisting the first UE or a second UE. The UE may transmit signaling in accordance with a calculated transmission power based on selecting a first parameter set from the multiple parameter sets, where the first parameter set is selected based on a communication link associated with the transmission, a presence of one or more RISs during the transmission, and whether the one or more RISs are assisting the first UE or the second UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive from a network entity a set of resources in accordance with a channel state information (CSI) reporting procedure. The UE may select a first resource from the set of resources as a baseline resource on a criteria for the set of resources. For example, the criteria may be based on a respective channel quality indicator (CQI), a rank indicator (RI), a resource ID value, a power offset value, or a combination thereof associated with each resource. The UE may transmit in accordance with the CSI reporting procedure, a CSI report that includes a baseline indicator associated with the baseline resource and respective differential indicators for each other resource of the set of resources. In some examples, the respective differential indicators may be relative to the baseline indicator.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems may support flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink transmissions. A base station may transmit broadcast signaling (e.g., a system information block (SIB)) indicating waveform configuration information for an autonomous uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE).     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of one or more parameters associated with a reference signal that is to be transmitted by the first wireless device. The one or more parameters may be encoded separately from the remainder of the control message using a secret key that is known to both the second wireless device and the first wireless device. The first wireless device may then decode the one or more parameters using the secret key, and may transmit the associated reference signal to the second wireless device based on decoding the parameters using the secret key.
