    摘要: Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a degaussing device and a degaussing method capable of efficiently degaussing a magnetic disk, especially, a magnetic disk of the perpendicular magnetic recording system, without resorting to a magnetic field of a high intensity. Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a degaussing method of degaussing a magnetic disk not yet installed in a magnetic disk drive by applying an external magnetic field to the magnetic disk by a degaussing device. In accordance with one embodiment, the method includes disposing the magnetic disk in the degaussing device such that the direction of an external magnetic field is inclined at an angle to the axis of easy magnetization of the magnetic disk.

    摘要: A developing agent leakage preventing member is provided that is attached to the developer housing and that has a housing attaching face which contacts with the developer housing, a front side face which opposes the housing attaching face, and two side faces each of which connects to each other end portions of the housing attaching face and the front side face in the longitudinal direction of the opening of the developer housing. At least one of the side faces of the developing agent leakage preventing member is formed as an inclined side face that is inclined in a predetermined direction relative to the housing attaching face when pressed from the front side face side. In a developing apparatus, developing agent (toner) leakage is avoided.

    摘要: A developer cartridge includes a first developer wall formed with a convex part and a second developer wall disposed in confronting relation with the first developer wall. The convex part of the first developer wall is insertable into an insertion portion of an image-bearing member cartridge when the developer cartridge is mounted on the image-bearing member cartridge. When a plurality of the developer cartridges are stacked one on the other with the first developer wall being downside with respect to the second developer wall facing upward, the first developer engagement part in one developer cartridge engages the second developer engagement part in another developer cartridge disposed just below the one developer cartridge.
