摘要： A novel dental implant with flexible expansion ribs that lock into and compress the bone within a drilled hole in the jawbone. Upon tightening the screw used to mount the implant abutment, a set of thin medical-alloy ribs lock into the surrounding bone to provide an immediate and permanently strong support for a dental prosthesis while bone growth into the implant occurs. The expanding ribs turn an edge outward to lock into the surround bone and preventing the rotation of the implant assembly during installation and use.

摘要： An abutment for securing a dental prosthesis to an implant fixture is disclosed. The abutment includes a base and an attachable coping. The attachable coping carries the dental prosthesis and is mounted on the base of the abutment using a ball-and-socket joint, which permits the dental prosthesis to be easily and accurately aligned with adjacent teeth, implant fixtures or other prostheses. A connector inserted through an aperture in the base of the abutment secures the abutment and the prosthesis to the implant fixture.

摘要： An abutment (10, 10A, 10B, 10C) for a medical or dental implant has a prosthetic receiving tapered post formed with a locking step (10e) for removably restraining a sleeve member such as an emergence cuff (12, 12A). The emergence cuff is receivable on the post of the abutment and has an outer surface configuration which merges confluently with the abutment outer surface. The emergence cuff is formed with a snap on interface (12g) for use with a second sleeve (14, 14A) having a complimentary snap on interface (14e). When the second sleeve is open ended, a pin (16) is shown for closing off the outer end of the second sleeve, if desired.

摘要： A device for forming a dental prosthesis includes a support and an element which can be attached thereto, such as an impression element. The support has an anchoring part for anchoring in a bone or a master model, a shoulder with an annular shoulder surface, and a head. The impression element has an elastically deformable fixing agent. When the device is assembled, the fixing agent jams and/or latches with the support, either externally on the support, on the side of the shoulder facing the anchoring part, or in an axial hole of the support. The element can be quickly detachably connected to the support by placing it on top of the support, and can be quickly separated from the support by moving the support away. When the device is assembled, the support and the element can lay on top of each other with annular surfaces. The annular surfaces have fully circular outer edges which are visible from the outside in an approximately radial viewing direction.

摘要： A support post for use with a dental implant comprising a ceramic portion, a screw, and a metal portion. The ceramic portion is adapted to support a prosthesis thereon. The ceramic portion has a supragingival region for protruding beyond the gingiva and a subgingival end for extending into the gingiva. The ceramic portion has a passageway extending therethrough. According to one embodiment, the passageway narrows to form a shoulder that is made entirely of ceramic. The screw is adapted to engage an internally threaded bore in the implant and be insertable through the passageway. The screw comprises a bead and a threaded section. The head of the screw seats entirely on the shoulder. The metal portion comprises a lower section and an upper section extending into the passageway. The metal portion abuts the subgingival end of the ceramic portion. The lower section is adapted to receive and engage the corresponding boss of the dental implant. The metal portion has an opening to provide access to the screw.

摘要： An abutment-mount for a dental implant has a longitudinally extending axis with a first end, an opposite second end and a peripheral surface. The abutment-mount is used for delivering the dental implant to a prepared site of a jawbone with an implant drive tool and is also used as a device for securing a dental prosthesis to the dental implant. The abutment-mount includes a screw, or other fastener for securing the abutment-mount to the implant. A surface is provided for attaching the dental prosthesis to the abutment-mount adjacent the first end. A structure is provided for transferring rotational force from the implant drive tool to the implant through the abutment-mount. An implant kit includes an abutment-mount, an implant and an abutment screw.
