Abstract: Provided are a sputtering target composed of a Cu—Ga sintered compact that has a further reduced oxygen content and can suppress abnormal discharges, and a method for producing the same. The sintered compact has a component composition containing a Ga content of 20 at % or higher and less than 30 at % with the balance being Cu and inevitable impurities, and has an oxygen content of 100 ppm or lower and an average grain size of 100 μm or less, and exhibits the diffraction peaks assigned to the γ and ζ phases of CuGa as observed in X-ray diffraction, wherein the main peak intensity of the diffraction peaks assigned to the ζ phase is 10% or higher relative to that of the diffraction peaks assigned to the γ phase.

Abstract: A copper alloy wire and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The copper alloy wire includes: by weight percentage of components, 0.3 to 0.45 of silver (Ag), 0.01 to 0.02 of titanium, and a remaining part that is formed by copper and unavoidable impurities. The method for manufacturing the copper alloy wire is performing two-phase vacuum melting: first performing vacuum electric arc melting into a copper-titanium mother alloy, and then performing vacuum induction melting with remaining components into a copper alloy wire material by means of continuous casting; then drawing the copper alloy wire material into a copper alloy fine wire by a non-slip wire drawing device in a material even-flow wire drawing manner, and finally performing thermal treatment on the copper alloy fine wire by using argon as a protection gas, so as to complete a process of the copper alloy wire.

Abstract: A Cu—Ga binary alloy sputtering target having excellent mechanical workability, high density, and high bending strength, and a method of producing the sputtering target are provided. The sputtering target has a composition including 28 to 35 atomic % of Ga and the balance made of Cu and inevitable impurities. In addition, the sputtering target has a coexistence microstructure in which a low-Ga-containing Cu—Ga binary alloy phase is surrounded by a high-Ga-containing Cu—Ga binary alloy phase. The low-Ga-containing Cu—Ga binary alloy phase includes 26 atomic % or less of Ga and a balance made of Cu. The high-Ga-containing Cu—Ga binary alloy phase includes 28 atomic % or more of Ga.

Abstract: Contacts that may be highly corrosion resistant, may be readily manufactured, and may conserve precious materials. One example may provide contacts having a layer of a precious-metal alloy to improve corrosion resistance. The precious-metal-alloy layer may be plated with a hard, durable, wear and corrosion resistant plating stack for further corrosion resistance and wear improvement. The resources consumed by a contact may be reduced by forming a bulk or substrate region of the contact using a more readily available material, such as copper or a material that is primarily copper based.

Abstract: A heatable roller suitable for a machine for producing and/or upgrading a web of material, in particular a fibrous material web such as a paper, paperboard or tissue web. The roller has a main element with a metallic and cylindrical roller wall which is heatable by suitable means and on the radially outer side of which there is, at least in sections, a coating. When the roller is used as intended, the coating provides a web contact side which can be brought into contact with the web of material. The coating includes, or is formed by, at least one metallic or metal-carbidic layer with a first layer component providing a matrix and a second layer component distributed in the matrix. The first layer component has a higher abrasion resistance than the second layer component and the second layer component has a greater thermal conductivity than the first layer component.

Abstract: A covered electric wire comprises an insulating coating layer on the outer side of a conductor. The conductor comprises a copper alloy consisting of: not less than 0.05% by mass and not more than 2.0% by mass of Fe; not less than 0.02% by mass and not more than 1.0% by mass of Ti; not less than 0% by mass and not more than 0.6% by mass of Mg; and the balance being Cu and impurities. The covered electric wire is a stranded wire comprising a plurality of copper alloy wires stranded together. The plurality of copper alloy wires each have a work hardening coefficient of not less than 0.1 and a wire diameter of not more than 0.5 mm.
