摘要： A method is provided for obfuscating program code to prevent unauthorized users from accessing video. The method includes receiving an original program code that provides functionality. The original program code is transformed into obfuscated program code defining a randomized branch encoded version of the original program code. The obfuscated program code is then stored, and a processor receiving input video data flow uses the obfuscated program code to generate an output data flow.

摘要： A method of detecting frames in a video that demarcate a pre-determined type of video segment within the video is provided. The method includes identifying visually distinctive candidate marker frames within the video, grouping the candidate marker frames into a plurality of groups based on visual similarity, computing a collective score for each of the groups based on temporal proximity of each of the candidate marker frames within the group to related events occurring within the video, and selecting at least one of the groups based on the collective proximity scores as marker frames that demarcate the pre-determined type of video segment. A video processing electronic device and at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer program instructions stored thereon for performing the method are also provided.

摘要： A method of handling advertisements in an adaptive bitrate stream is provided. The method includes the steps of receiving an adaptive bitrate stream playlist listing chunk identifiers pointing to a plurality of media chunks, analyzing the playlist to find one or more advertising chunks, modifying the adaptive bitrate stream playlist with a client device when the client device has been set to skip advertisements by deleting chunk identifiers associated with advertising chunks from the playlist, retrieving and playing back media chunks according to the playlist, and setting a no-trick-play flag at the client device during playback of the one or more advertising chunks when the client device has not been set to skip advertisements, such that trick-plays through and over media chunks are allowed when the no-trick-play flag is not set and are not allowed when the no-trick-play flag is set.

摘要： Particular embodiments use a multi-view coding (MVC) extension to provide second-screen content along with the first-screen content. In one embodiment, a head-end multiplexes the first-screen content with the second-screen content into a single content stream. The second-screen content is added to the video stream according to the MVC extension requirements. At the user end, such as at a gateway, instead of sending the first-screen content and second-screen content to the first-screen device, the gateway de-multiplexes the first-screen content and the second-screen content. The gateway can then send the first-screen content to the first-screen device while caching the second-screen content. When the gateway determines that the second-screen content should be displayed on the second-screen device, the gateway can send the second-screen content to the second-screen device for display on the second-screen of the second-screen device.
