摘要: A method of operating a media scanner to protect a target machine from malware on a removable storage device is disclosed. The target machine and the removable storage device each include a respective data line, and the media scanner comprises a data switch. Data is scanned on the removable storage device with malware detection software of the media scanner via a first data path, the first data path comprising the data line of the removable storage device connected to the data line of the media scanner by the data switch in a first switching state. After the data has been scanned with the malware detection software, the data switch is operated to switch from the first switching state to a second switching state, thereby disconnecting the data line of the removable storage device from the data line of the media scanner and connecting the data line of the removable storage device to the data line of the target machine.

摘要: A space station includes a housing that defines an interior space. An inner chamber is located in the interior space and defines an inner cavity that is sealable from the remainder of the interior space. At least one bulkhead is arranged in the interior space to partition the interior space into at least two compartments that are hermetically sealable from one another. One compartment can be accessed from another compartment via the inner cavity of the inner chamber. The inner cavity is sealable against each compartment. Openings in an outer surface of the housing enable crew members to leave a damaged compartment through the opening. Thus, alternative routes exist to leave a damaged compartment, i.e., either through the inner cavity or through the opening in the outer surface of the housing. When one compartment is damaged, the adjacent compartments are still operative because they are sealed from the damaged compartment.

摘要: A display arrangement for presenting video information to a human operator in a vehicle senses vehicle movements and movements of a head mounted display unit. Based on vehicle movements and movements of the display unit, a virtual scenario with background video data and application video data are generated to a display arrangement. The background video data are modified so background video moves opposite to vehicle movements. The application video data are modified so application video moves according to vehicle movement. A perspective onto the application video can be modified based on relative movements of the display unit with respect to the vehicle. This may reduce conflicts between sensory impressions of the vestibular system and eyes of the operator because movements of the vehicle and movements of the display unit are considered when generating and modifying the background and application video data presented to the operator.

The load determining unit is coupled to the first inertial measurement device and the second inertial measurement device. The load determining unit can receive instantaneous first accelerations detected by the first inertial measurement device and instantaneous second accelerations detected by the at least one second inertial measurement device and from this to determine instantaneous loads acting on the aircraft and to store them in a memory unit and/or to transmit them to an external unit. The load determining unit can determine expected maneuver accelerations. The load determining unit can subtract the expected maneuver accelerations from detected first accelerations and second accelerations and determine externally induced dynamic accelerations. The load determining unit can determine expected maneuver loads on the aircraft to determine dynamic loads on the aircraft and to determine the expected maneuver loads and the dynamic loads.

摘要: A method of configuring a network of tire monitoring devices using an untrusted device is provided. An untrusted device transmits first configuration data to a first tire monitoring device, and then receives a first input verifying that the first configuration data has been loaded to the first tire monitoring device and matches expected first configuration data. The untrusted device transmits second configuration data to a second tire monitoring device, and receives a second input verifying that the second configuration data has been loaded to the second tire monitoring device and matches expected second configuration data. The untrusted device transmits a command initializing generation of a cryptographic parameter by the first tire monitoring device, and causes the cryptographic parameter to be exchanged with the second tire monitoring device such that secure future communication is established between the first and second tire monitoring devices.
