摘要: A system and method are disclosed for provisioning IP features in a system-on-chip. A plurality of identical chips are fabricated, each of which is capable of have a number of features enabled or disabled. As a default, all features are disabled. A production process is later carried out, in which the chip is installed in a greater device. During this process, the manufacturer requests a license the IP owner for enablement of various features. Using secure communications, a license is granted identifying the features to be enabled, and a volume of units permitted to be manufactured. The license information is encrypted using a key already known to the chip, and sent to the manufacturer. The chip receives the license information during provisioning, extracts relevant provisioning information using the key, and a secure processing system provisions the relevant features. Log information is generated to allow the IP owner to verify license compliance.

摘要: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for synchronization management of high dynamic range (HDR) media metadata. A synchronization controller of a media device may receive a first set of HDR media metadata provided in connection with one or more images of media. The synchronization controller may disable a metadata synchronization indicator provided to each core of a plurality of processing cores of the media device, responsive to receiving the first set of HDR media metadata. The synchronization controller may write the first set of HDR media metadata to a first memory location while the metadata synchronization indicator is disabled. The synchronization controller may enable the metadata synchronization indicator, responsive to completion of writing of the first set of HDR media metadata to the first memory location.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for combining a plurality of streams with a plurality of formats into a single output stream in a predetermined output format. Each of the plurality of streams includes at least one of video or graphics. Each stream is processed by determining a format of the stream, determining whether the format is compatible with the predetermined output format, and responsive to determining that the format is compatible with the predetermined output format, converting the format to the predetermined output format. The processed plurality of streams are combined into a single output stream in the predetermined output format.

摘要: Methods and systems for enabling coexistence of multiple potentially interfering wireless components in a device are provided. A device may include a wireless module using a proprietary protocol and one or more modules using standardized protocols. The device further includes a coexistence arbitration module configured to arbitrate access to a shared communication medium among the wireless modules based on assertion of medium access requests by the modules and the associated priority of the asserted medium access requests. When multiple medium access requests have the same priority, precedence for access to the shared medium is determined based on additional criteria. The coexistence arbitration module may be a separate module or may be integrated into another module or distributed among the modules. The device may include a host processor for altering transmission characteristics of a module to increase the likelihood that another module can receive data within a reasonable time period.

摘要: In various embodiments, a power transmitting device includes a wireless power generator configured to generate a wireless power signal. A transmit resonator is configured to transmit the wireless power signal via a transmit magnetic field to a power receiving unit. The transmit resonator includes a transmit coil configured to generate that transmit magnetic field in response to the wireless power signal. At least one variable magnetic element is configured to adjust at least one property of the transmit coil by varying a reluctance of the at least one variable magnetic element in response to at least one control signal. A processing device is configured to generate the at least one control signal to select the reluctance corresponding to the at least one property of the transmit coil.

摘要: Systems and methods provide zone management for devices in a Serial Attached Small Computer System Interface (SAS) topology. In one embodiment, a zone management device stores a zone map that identifies an initial zone of a device in the topology. The management device detects changes in the topology, and identifies a current zone of the device subsequent to the change in the topology. The management device compares the zone map for the device to the current zone to identify a change in the zone of the device, and generates a message for an expander in the topology based on the change in the zone. The management device then transmits the message to the expander to restore the zone of the device to the initial zone.
