    摘要: A deployment device for positioning a soft tissue repair prosthesis includes a self-expanding support body releasably attachable to the prosthesis. The support body may be removably insertable into a pocket of the prosthesis. A handle coupled to the support body facilitates positioning the patch and/or removal of the support body from the pocket. The support body may substantially occupy the pocket in an expanded configuration. The handle may be arranged to direct a pulling force to the outer peripheral edge of the support body and/or cause a portion thereof to be pulled downward and below the body during withdrawal of the deployment device from the prosthesis. The support body may include support segments pivotally coupled together and foldable to collapse the support body for insertion into and removal from the pocket. One or more resilient support members may be provided for collapsing and expanding the support body and the prosthesis.

    摘要: A catheter assembly is provided that has a core wire that is at least partially disposed within a lumen of an elongate body including a proximal terminus and a distal terminus of the core wire. The catheter assembly also has a sonic connector at the proximal terminus of the core wire and a tip member at the distal terminus of the core wire. The sonic connector is configured to connect to an ultrasound transducer. The tip member is directly attached to the core wire. The tip member has a cavitation-induced exposed surface. The cavitation-induced exposed surface is configured to introduce a plurality of nanocavities upon exposure of the tip member to a vibrational energy received from the core wire via the sonic connector.

    摘要: A radiopaque balloon with a composite wall having a radiopaque adhesive affixing inner and outer layers of the balloon. The radiopaque adhesive provides a radiographic image of the balloon wall with or without the use of radiopaque contract media to inflate the balloon. A radiographically fainter image is provided as the balloon is inflated with well-defined edges of a balloon image, and the total radiopacity of the balloon does not change as the balloon is inflated. Also, a method of imaging a balloon wall and a method of imaging a radiopaque adhesive between two layers of a balloon wall are provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides an aortic embolic filter mounted on a catheter. A pair of spaced apart hubs are provided, one hub being a catheter hub mounted on the catheter, the other hub being a tip hub spaced distally of the catheter hub. A filter basket is attached to the hubs and positioned distally of the catheter hub. The basket includes multiple supports that each span the two hubs. A filter material/sheet is supported by the supports, the filter material having concave and convex surfaces, first and second edge portions, and an opening that spans most of the distance between the hubs and in between the filter material edge portions. One of the supports is movable relative to the catheter hub. An operator, controller or handle enables the movable support to change length between the hubs to put more or less of a curvature of the filter basket.
