    摘要： The disclosure relates to the use of compounds of specific structure as defoaming wetting agents for aqueous coating systems, for example paints and varnishes. The disclosure is more particularly related to methods of reducing the surface tension and/or increasing the density of an aqueous coating system, which methods include adding alcohol propoxylates to an aqueous coating system. The alcohol propoxylates have the general structure R—O—(PO)xH, in which R is a saturated alkyl radical having 7 to 10 C atoms, PO is a propylene oxide unit, and x is a number in the range from 4 to 6. The resulting aqueous coating composition has good wetting properties, but is low in foam, so it does not disrupt processing operations of the coating system.

    摘要： Described are agrochemical compositions comprising alkoxylation products according to general formula (I) R1(CO)m—O—[R2O]nR3  (I) wherein R1 is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally hydroxy-functionalized hydrocarbyl radical containing 8 to 30 carbon atoms, R2 is an ethylene, propylene or butylene group or mixtures thereof, R3 is hydrogen or an acyl group containing 1 to 8 carbon atoms, m is 0 or 1, n is an integer between 3 and 100. When R3 is an acyl group, R2 is ethylene, propylene or mixtures thereof, and when R3 is hydrogen, R2 is ethylene, propylene, butylene or mixtures thereof provided that the terminal group represents a butylene oxide unit.

    摘要： The invention relates to an aqueous solution of modified silicates, wherein the solution is free of organic solvents and is obtained by reacting (a) an initially charge aqueous solution of silicates of the general formula M2O·nSiO2, wherein M is a cation from the group Li+, Na+, K+, NY4+, where Y is a hydrogen atom and/or an alkyl or alkenyl radical having 1 to 22 C atoms, and (b) at least one silane of the general formula R—(CH2)n—Si—(X)3 where X is independently a CH3, OCH3, OC2H5, OC3H7, OCOCH3, H or Cl radical, and R is a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched or ring-shaped radical having at least one O and/or N atom and at least 2 C atoms, and n is a number between 1 and 3; at temperatures from 5 to 100° C., and wherein the alcohols arising from the conversion are subsequently removed. The aqueous solution of modified silicates is used to hydrophilize surfaces, particularly for high-temperature coatings.
