摘要: A method for predicting fatigue life of a structure includes providing a finite element (FE) model of the structure; calculating a modal stress and a frequency response function (FRF) of the FE model; calculating a stress power spectral density (PSD) matrix; calculating a damage transformation matrix [A]; calculating a covariance matrix from the stress PSD matrix; determining angles θ, φ, and ψ in a plane with maximum equivalent variance based on the calculated covariance matrix; and calculating a variance—damage parameter with the angles θ, φ, and ψ incremented in a predetermined amount of degrees to thereby identify critical planes where a fatigue crack will occur in the structure.

摘要: Direct current to direct current (DC-DC) boosting and fast charging techniques for an electrified vehicle include providing relay switches electrically connected between a DC charging station rated at a first voltage, an inverter, and a high voltage (HV) battery system rated at a higher second voltage, wherein at least one of the plurality of relay switches is connected to a midpoint of one of three inductor phase legs of the inverter and controlling a boosted fast charging mode wherein the plurality of relay switches are opened/closed such that the first voltage is provided to the inverter and to the HV battery system for recharging, wherein the inverter and the electric motor utilize a first alternating current (AC) phase current based on the first voltage to inductively generate and convert two AC phase currents to a third DC voltage for further boosted recharging of the HV battery system.

摘要: A belt tensioner system for a belt starter generator has a first belt tensioner with a first fluid operated strut. A first arm is coupled with the first strut and has a pulley to tension a belt. A pivot fixes the first arm on the belt starter generator for pivotal movement so that the strut moves unidirectionally pivoting the first arm toward a first side of the belt to apply tension on the belt via the pulley. A second belt tensioner has a second fluid operated strut. A second arm is coupled with the second strut and has a pulley to tension the belt. A gearset is associated with the transmission and includes a sun gear, a ring gear and a pinion carrier. 摘要: Control techniques for a fuel cell electrified vehicle (FCEV) involve an electrified vehicle control unit (EVCU) configured to control a set of primary operations of the FCEV, a fuel cell propulsion system (FCPS) configured to control a set of secondary operations of the FCEV, a controller area network (CAN) connecting the EVCU to the FCPS, and a set of hardwire wakeup lines connecting and configured to send a primary wakeup signal from the EVCU to each of the FCPS and a battery pack control module (BPCM). The EVCU selectively communicates a secondary wakeup signal to the FCPS via the CAN, and wherein the FCPS is woken up in response to receiving both the primary and secondary wakeup signals via the hardwire wakeup lines and the CAN, respectively, to prevent wakeup of the FCPS during a set of wakeup operations in which the FCPS is not required.
