摘要: A method of chemical vapor infiltration and deposition includes disposing a porous substrate within a reaction chamber, establishing a sub-atmospheric pressure within the reaction chamber, introducing a hydrocarbon reaction gas into a reaction zone of the reaction chamber to densify the porous substrate, withdrawing unreacted hydrocarbon reaction gas from the reaction chamber, the unreacted hydrocarbon reaction gas comprising hydrocarbon molecules having six or more carbon atoms, removing at least a portion of the hydrocarbon molecules having six or more carbon molecules from the unreacted hydrocarbon reaction gas by causing the portion of the hydrocarbon molecules having six or more carbon atoms to condense, and recirculating at least a portion of the unreacted hydrocarbon reaction gas back into the reaction zone.

摘要: An inflation assembly for an evacuation system may comprise a manifold defining an interior volume and a plurality of inflators fluidly coupled to the manifold. Each inflator of the plurality of inflators may include a solid gas generating material and an igniter configured to ignite in response to receiving an ignite signal. The solid gas generating material may be configured to generate a gas in response to an ignition of the igniter.

摘要: The disclosure addresses an external lighting unit for an aircraft. This external lighting unit includes a lighting unit housing have a mounting flange that is configured to provide a reduced contact with a supporting structure (e.g., a tail cone of an aircraft), which in turn reduces conductive heat transfer between the supporting structure and the lighting unit housing (more specifically reduces conductive heat transfer between the supporting structure and a printed circuit board that is disposed within the lighting unit housing and that may be seated on a portion of the lighting unit housing). Open spaces on the surface of the mounting flange that face toward the supporting structure may be occupied by a thermal insulator.

摘要: A method for estimating the temperature of a component being monitored is described herein, comprising: inputting data related to the component being monitored into a brake thermal model; using the brake thermal model to predict a temperature of the component based on the input data; inputting a) actual temperature sensor measurement data of the component and b) the predicted temperature into an estimation algorithm, wherein the estimation algorithm combines the a) actual temperature sensor data and b) predicted temperature and generates an estimated brake temperature of the component based on the combined inputs. A computer-implemented system is also described.

摘要: Systems and methods for shut off valve failure detection are provided. The system may comprise a housing, a shut off valve disposed within the housing, a first servovalve and a second servovalve coupled to the housing, and a pressure sensor disposed within the housing in fluid communication with the shut off valve. A controller may receive a pressure signal from the pressure sensor in the system, and a brake signal from a brake input device. The controller may determine whether there has been a shut off valve failure in the system in response to the pressure signal being greater than a pressure threshold and the controller failing to receive the brake signal, for a threshold period. The controller may then send a signal to a notification system in response to detection of the shut off valve failure and output a shut off valve failure notification.
