摘要: A method for controlling thermal conductivity between two thermal masses includes thermally contacting a first conduction body with a heat source, thermally contacting a second conduction body with a heat sink, and thermally contacting the second conduction body with the first conduction body by moving the first conduction body between a first position and a second position with a thermal expansion component. The thermal expansion component moves the first conduction body between the first position and the second position at a predetermined temperature and heat is conducted from the heat source to the heat sink through the first and second conduction bodies.

Each of the plurality of secondary fluid channels extends radially from the first branched region at the first end and has an equal length from a center of the first branched region to the second end.

摘要: A method for monitoring degradation of at least one component in a power system comprising a motor drive circuit configured to provide AC power from a power source to power a motor. The method includes isolating the motor drive circuit from the power source; injecting a test signal to at least one component of the isolated motor drive circuit; and measuring a propagated signal resulting from the injected test signal propagating through the at least one component. The propagated signal may be compared to a test signal and, if the propagated signal differs from the test signal by a threshold, then degradation of the at least one component may be identified.

摘要: A single stage servo valve assembly includes a drive assembly and a valve body assembly. The valve body assembly defines: a valve body extending along a valve body axis between a first valve body end and a second valve body axis: a supply port; a control port; and a return port formed through the valve body each defining a respective fluid flow channel, having a fluid flow axis, providing fluid communication between an interior of the valve body and an exterior of the valve body. 摘要: A pressure vessel includes a first component, a second component, and a bonded lap joint between the first and second components. The bonded lap joint includes a portion of the first component which extends about a circumference of the pressure vessel, a portion of the second component which extends about the circumference of the pressure vessel and partially overlaps the portion of the first component, an adhesive bond connecting the portion of the first component to the portion of the second component and thereby joining the first and second components, and mechanically interlocking structures connecting the portion of the first component to the portion of the second component. The adhesive bond forms a primary retention mechanism. The mechanically interlocking structures are situated at least partially within each of the portion of the first component and the portion of the second component, and form a secondary retention mechanism.

The rotary machine includes a compressor section and a first turbine section. Each section of the rotary machine includes an inlet, an outlet, a duct extending between the inlet and the outlet, and an impeller in the duct. The rotary machine also includes a tie rod mechanically connecting the compressor impeller and the first turbine impeller. The first bypass duct is between the compressor section and the first turbine inlet. The check valve opens the first bypass duct when an air pressure in the compressor inlet is higher than an air pressure in the first turbine inlet.
