摘要: A method for predicting cancer prognosis is disclosed, and the method comprises capturing a reference radiomics and obtaining reference pathological eigenvalues, wherein the reference pathological eigenvalues are based on pathological features of a reference patients, and the pathological features comprise genomic features, gene expression, test values or a combination of two or more thereof. Then, capturing a test radiomics and obtaining test pathological eigenvalues are performed, wherein the test pathological eigenvalues are based on pathological features of a test patients, and the pathological features comprise genomic features, gene expression, test values or a combination of two or more thereof. A mathematical formula is used to calculate a prognostic index based on the aforementioned reference radiomics, reference pathological eigenvalues, test radiomics and test pathological eigenvalues, and the prognostic change risk of the test patient is evaluated according to the prognostic index.

The vocal cord includes a plate and at least one bag body. The plate is stacked on the seat body, the bag body is fixed to the plate and located in the accommodation space of the seat body, and the bag body has a storage space. The vocal cord is configured for the insertion of the syringe to allow the syringe to inject the fluid into the storage space of the bag body. In addition, the disclosure also provides a human head and neck model including the human laryngeal model.

摘要: A semiconductor quantum dot is provided with a non-metallic substrate, and has a particle size ranged from 0.3 to 100 nm. A method of carrying out a chemical reaction or a photoluminescence reaction by using the semiconductor quantum dot is also provided. A redox reaction of a target sample is carried out, an active substance is generated, or an electron-hole pair is produced from the semiconductor quantum dot by providing the semiconductor quantum dot with a predetermined energy. Photons are released by the combination of the electron-hole pair so as to perform the photoluminescence reaction.

摘要: A molded container for a tissue scaffold is provided. The molded container comprises a bag made from a soft material, a shape memory frame, and an inner support tube. A sealing part is disposed on the opening of the bag, and an operation window is disposed on the lower part of the bag. The sealing part is closed when no external force is applied. The shape memory frame is embedded in the bag. At least two adjustable hooks are disposed on the ends of the shape memory frame. The inner support tube is disposed on the inner bottom of the bag and selectively penetrates a molded accommodation volume for forming a tissue scaffold. The length of the inner support tube is more than the length of the molded accommodation volume. Therefore, the molded container for a tissue scaffold has features of portability, adjustability, sterility, convenience, and stability.

摘要: A molecular probe includes a detector molecule specific to a target molecule, and at least one label linked covalently or non-covalently to the detector molecule. The label includes a catalyst for generating electrons and/or mediators from a solution. The catalyst includes a nanomaterial, an enzyme, a metal, and/or a metal complex. The mediators can accumulate in the solution for a period of time. The detector molecule and the target molecule interact with each other by a protein based or nucleotide sequence based interaction. The mediators participate in a chemical reaction that generates a signal that may be a change in optical, electromagnetic, thermodynamic or mechanical properties. Generation efficiency of the mediators is enhanced by providing an energy to the solution. The molecular probe may be used with a molecular detection assay performed on a surface. A method for assaying the target molecule using the molecular probe is also provided.

摘要: A pharmaceutical composition includes a plurality of metal nanoparticles and at least one therapeutic agent. Each of the metal nanoparticles includes a core and a stabilizing agent coated on a surface of the core. The at least one therapeutic agent is attached to the stabilizing agent of the metal nanoparticles. Each of the therapeutic agent is an amphiphilic compound and has at least one hydrophobic chain interacting with the stabilizing agent. The pharmaceutical composition may further include a polymer shell encapsulating the metal nanoparticles and the therapeutic agent for enabling controlled release of the therapeutic agent. The pharmaceutical compositions are bifunctional and may be used for diagnosing and treating cancer. Methods for using the pharmaceutical compositions in conjunction with radiation therapy to diagnose and treat cancer are also provided.

摘要: A method for assessment of neural function by establishing an analysis module is revealed. The first step of the method is to capture images of the cultured cells with a plurality of fluorescence labeling by a fluorescence microscopy system for image analysis. The cultured cells include neurons and non-neuronal cells. Then select neurons with neurites having fluorescence labeling and exclude non-neuronal cells according to an area and a fluorescence intensity of nucleus. Also calculate an area of the neuronal cell body, a length of the neurites and a number of processes and branches to verify outgrowth of the neurites of the neurons. Next calculate a number of synaptic puncta having fluorescence labeling on the area of the neurites having fluorescence labeling defined in Step 2 to verify formation of the synaptic puncta of the neurons for assessment of neural function.
