摘要: A machine for distributing material from a package of compressed loosefill insulation material is provided. The machine includes a lower unit having a front panel. A shredding chamber is bounded on one side by the front panel and the shredding chamber receives compressed loosefill insulation material from a source of compressed loosefill insulation material. The shredding chamber including a plurality of shredders for shredding, picking apart, and conditioning the loosefill insulation material. A discharge mechanism is mounted to receive the conditioned loosefill insulation material exiting the shredding chamber and to distribute the conditioned loosefill insulation material into an airstream. A removable front access assembly covers a portion of the front panel of the lower unit and includes a control panel having a plurality of control devices. Removal of the removable front access assembly makes the plurality of shredders and the discharge mechanism within the lower unit accessible for inspection, replacement, or repair.

摘要: A roofing underlayment with enhanced walkability is provided. The roofing underlayment has a reinforcement, a film, and a plurality of gripping structures. The gripping structures are disposed on at least a portion of a first film surface of the film. The roofing underlayment has at least one of a coefficient of friction of between about 1.2 and about 1.8 when tested in dry condition using COF method 1, a coefficient of friction of between about 0.8 and about 1.5 when tested in wet condition using COF method 1, and a coefficient of friction of between about 0.5 and about 1.2 using COF method 1.

摘要: A non-woven chopped fiber mat includes a mixture of glass fibers and synthetic fibers. The non-woven mat is formed using a binder composition that includes a binder resin, a coupling agent, and a corrosion inhibitor. The non-woven mat is non-corrosive and resistant to volatile unsaturated monomers such as styrene, but still remains fully compatible with solvent-containing polyester resins, such that it can be used in various pultruded products.

摘要: Various exemplary aspects are directed to mineral wool plant substrates comprising mineral wool fibers bound by a binder formed from an aqueous binder composition comprising a cross-linking agent comprising at least two carboxylic acid groups; a polyol component having at least two hydroxyl groups; a nitrogen-based protective agent; and from 0.05 wt. % to 0.7 wt. % of a non-ionic surfactant. Methods of manufacturing such fiber-based plant substrates can include collecting a plurality of inorganic fibers on a substrate; applying an aqueous binder composition to the collection of inorganic fibers, forming binder-coated inorganic fibers; and curing the aqueous binder composition at a temperature less than 510° F., thereby forming a fiber-based plant substrate, wherein said aqueous binder composition is free of formaldehyde.
