    摘要: A hand operable wrench is described which comprises a wrench head at one end thereof, and a substantially metallic lever formed as a handle extending in a longitudinal direction from the wrench head. The wrench head has an imaginary axis of wrench rotation, and the handle is formed substantially nontwisted comprising a first handle portion, a second handle portion and a third handle portion. The first handle portion connects to the wrench head, and the second handle portion is longitudinally positioned between the first and third handle portions. The first and third handle portions each have a cross-sectional shape when viewed in a cross-sectional plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The cross-sectional shape of the first handle portion is elongated in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of wrench rotation of the wrench head, and, the cross-sectional shape of the third handle portion is elongated in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of wrench rotation of the wrench head.

    摘要: A compact, ergonomic telephony keypad is described which comprises three principle buttons capable of performing twelve distinct electronic switch operations. The three principle buttons are positioned in a group comprising a telephony keypad with each button formed for tactile manipulation to achieve four of the twelve switch operations. Each button also has four tactile depressible areas positioned thereon around an imaginary central axis. The four tactile depressible areas are spaced about equally apart around the imaginary central axis of each of the principle buttons. And, the three principle buttons are spaced apart and positioned relative to each other so as to substantially maximize the spacing of the twelve depressible areas, while, substantially minimizing the spacing of the principle buttons.

    摘要: A hand wrench is described for attachment with various sockets and other hand tool attachments to control the rotation of fasteners. The hand wrench has a main member with dimensions of length greater than width, and width greater than thickness such that it has a thin stamped form; and, a driving element fixed to and protruding out from the main member and formed to engage with sockets and other hand tool attachments. In some preferred embodiments, the main member is wider at one end and is bent offset with an obtuse angle of about 170 degrees. Because this hand wrench has a thin stamped form without a ratcheting mechanism, the present invention can access and engage fasteners under certain limited-access situations where a ratchet wrench (or any other known wrench) cannot. Additionally, the simple design and form allows the present invention to be manufactured at a much lower cost than a ratchet wrench or flex "T" handle, providing the consumer with an inexpensive alternative to a ratchet wrench or flex "T" handle.

    摘要: An open end wrench head is described having four principle internal engaging surfaces arranged about an imaginary central axis with the first and second internal engaging surfaces positioned on a first jaw and the third and fourth internal engaging surfaces positioned on a second opposing jaw. The first and third internal engaging surfaces are substantially flat and parallel to the imaginary central axis. The second internal engaging surface diverges outward from the first internal engaging surface and fourth internal engaging surface diverges outward from the third internal engaging surface. When the present invention wrench head is turned in one direction it acts like a standard open end wrench, however, when the present invention wrench head is turned in the other direction or in a predetermined direction, two of the four internal engaging surfaces provide a substantial increase in surface-to-surface contact with the nut, bolt or fastener being turned, thereby increasing wrench strength and torque while reducing fastener deformation and wrench wear. The benefit of having a uni-directional increase in performance is that the total free play arc of wrench to fastener is kept to a minimum, and the flip-flop feature of the wrench in limited access situations is maintained.

    摘要: A screwdriver is described having two double-ended driving bits, each having dimensions of length greater than width and a driving head at either end capable of controlling fastener rotation. The screwdriver also has a handle with dimensions of length greater than width, and width greater than thickness forming a somewhat flat handle that is appropriate for pocket storage and transportation. Extending out from the screwdriver handle is a screwdriver shank that is positioned to the side and off-center relative to the handle width to increase leverage and torque capabilities while maintaining a compact design. One of the two double-ended driving bits is stored within the handle while the other is temporarily held and secured within the screwdriver shank with one head exposed for fastener engagement. The components and their arrangement combine to form the present invention, a compact, high torque, four way multi-drive screwdriver that is user-friendly and cost efficient for manufacturing. In one preferred embodiment, the screwdriver has four different driving heads.
