摘要: A system of generating a pre-operative assessment of a patient includes an assessment system configured to communicate with client electronic devices. The system receives patient information pertaining to a patient, uses the patient information to access one or more medical images associated with the patient, performs one or more image processing techniques on the one or more medical images to identify measurements pertaining to an internal bodily structure of the patient, identifies one or more implant components for the patient, determines whether the one or more implant components are currently stocked, in response to determining that the one or more implant components are not currently stocked, automatically generates and placing an order for the one or more implant components that are not stocked, generates a pre-operative assessment for the patient, and causes the assessment to be displayed on a display device of a client electronic device.

摘要: A spinal implant includes a post with a receiver having a first mating surface and a stop. A connector defines an implant cavity. The connector includes a base having a second mating surface being positionable with the first mating surface to attach the connector with the receiver. The base defines a transverse passageway. A securing element is disposable in the passageway and engageable with the stop. In some embodiments, systems, surgical instruments, implants and methods are disclosed.

摘要: A modular retractor may include a first body portion that houses a distraction mechanism for opening and closing a first arm and a second arm. A first pivoting member may be coupled to a distal end of the first arm and a second pivoting member may be coupled to a distal end of the second arm, for example. A first blade attachment mechanism may be coupled to the first pivoting member and a second blade attachment mechanism may be coupled to the second pivoting member. The first and second blade attachment mechanisms may be configured to couple to first and second blades and be independently inclinable. A first actuator may be operably coupled to the distraction mechanism for opening and closing the first arm and second arm. Various embodiments may include at least one connection point for connecting to at least one retractor module.

摘要: A spinal rod with multiple sections having eccentric centers for use in a spinal fixation device is disclosed. The spinal rod may include a first longitudinal portion and a second longitudinal portion adjoined together by a transition portion. The first longitudinal portion may extend along a first longitudinal axis that extends lengthwise through a center of the first longitudinal portion and the second longitudinal portion may extend along a second longitudinal axis that extends lengthwise through a center of the second longitudinal portion. The transition portion may be configured to transition from the first cross-section to the second cross-section such that the first longitudinal axis is offset with respect to the second longitudinal axis. In at least some embodiments, a first outside surface of the first longitudinal portion may extend along a co-extensive plane with a second outside surface of the second longitudinal portion.

摘要: An additive-manufacturing system for printing spinal implants in-situ, within a patient, is disclosed. The system may include a robotic subsystem having scanning and imaging equipment and an armature including at least one dispensing nozzle and a controller apparatus having a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium. The controller may control the scanning and imaging equipment to determine a target alignment of a patients spine, develop an in-situ-printing plan including an in-situ material selection plan based on the target alignment of the patients spine, an interbody access space, and a disc space between adjacent vertebra of the patients spine, and execute the in-situ-printing plan. The controller may further control the armature to dispense at least one material chosen from a rigid material and a pliable material to form at least one motion-sparing implant.
