    摘要: A device for controlling access to a firearm having a muzzle with a muzzle device. The device includes a lock housing with a cavity to receive the muzzle device and a portion of the barrel. The device also includes a lock mechanism shaft coupled to a lock mechanism that is configured for rotational movement upon actuation of the lock mechanism. The lock mechanism shaft is coupled to a cam that moves axially upon rotation of the lock mechanism shaft. A bidirectional rotatable shaft is coupled to the cam and is insertable into the muzzle of the firearm occupying the full length of the firearm's muzzle device, barrel and chamber. The device also includes a plurality of arms coupled to a perimeter of the cam and arranged for pivotal and radial movement to secure the firearm muzzle in the cavity of the lock housing. A plurality of tabs are arranged on the arms for engagement with the muzzle device to retain the muzzle device within the lock housing.

    摘要: An aircraft's two wings and joined thruster propellers or turbines serve as rotary wings in helicopter mode and as fixed wings in airplane mode. The thrusters along the wingspans or at the wing tips drive both rotary wing rotation and airplane flight. Large-angle controlled feathering about the pitch change axes of the left and right wings and thrusters allows them to rotate, relative to each other, between facing and thrusting forward in the same direction for airplane flight or facing and thrusting oppositely for helicopter flight. Optional controls include: helicopter cyclic and collective pitch; airplane roll by differential wing pitch; yaw by differential prop thrust; fuselage pitch by wing pitch change and prop thrust change interacting with an underslung craft e.g.; and fuselage yaw control independent of rotor rotation via a powered rotary mast coupling or a tail responsive to rotor downwash. A teetering rotor hub is a further option.

    摘要: A device for controlling access to a firearm having a muzzle. The device includes a shaft that may be rigid or flexible and a slotted cylinder arranged for retaining the shaft thereto. The cylinder may also be flexible in an embodiment of the invention. The device includes a plurality of components that cooperatively ensure that any form of tampering is resisted so that the firearm remains secure. The device includes a lock housing and a lock foundation, wherein the lock housing is arranged to receive a key. The cylinder and shaft are removably attachable to the lock foundation. The cylinder-shaft combination is arranged for insertion into the muzzle. A gear engaged with the shaft causes movement of the shaft into the cylinder. A collet includes one or more radially displaceable tabs arranged for insertion in slots of the cylinder when the shaft moves through the collet into the cylinder.

    摘要: A breaching device for non-explosively cutting through a substrate, such as the leg of an offshore oil platform or other large cylinder from within the leg or large cylinder. The device includes a ring and a plurality of Reactive Material (RM) feed assemblies. Each RM feed assembly is arranged around the ring and includes an extendible nozzle. Each RM feed assembly includes a cavity that may contain RM that when ignited exits the nozzle. The nozzles are spring loaded and arranged to extend toward the inner surface of the substrate to be cut when the ring is rotated and/or oscillated. This arrangement results in a substantially uniform cut of the substrate from within with much less danger, material, equipment and cost than is currently required to remove large water-based structures.
