摘要: Pay stations in a retail store initiate customer transactions for customers. When a first pay station is unable to complete a customer transaction, it hands the transaction off to a second pay station that is able to complete the transaction. During hand off, the first pay station determines a first set of biometric and contextual data associated with the customers and sends that information to the second pay station. The second pay station then determines, independently, a second set of biometric and contextual data associated with the customers and compares it against the first set. Depending on the results of the comparison, customers are either granted or denied access at the second pay station to complete the transaction. Additionally, all biometric and contextual data are permanently destroyed without being saved to memory.

In one example, the thermocompressor produces a thermocompressor discharge that is directed into the deaerator, contacting and preheating the evaporator feedwater passing therethrough. In another example, the thermocompressor discharge is directed through a barometric condenser which contacts evaporator feedwater therein and condenses and in the process preheats the evaporator feedwater.

The control node determines an access capability of the user equipment in the access network. The access capability includes whether an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) voice over Packet Switched (PS) session is supported. The control node provides an indication of the determined access capability to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) associated with the user equipment. The indication may then be retrieved from the HSS and used to control termination of a connection to the user equipment.

One of the cooperating nodes is a base station being associated with a UE group comprising UEs having correlated mobility related parameters. Thereby, prediction and decisions related to mobility events, e.g. handover events, for the second UE or for the whole group may be performed e.g. before or without receiving any mobility information related to the second UE, thereby enabling early prediction and better preparation, which can lead to more robust mobility procedures.

摘要: A unified compression/decompression architecture is disclosed for reducing memory bandwidth requirements in 3D graphics processing applications. The techniques described erase several distinctions between a texture (compressed once, and decompressed many times), and buffers (compressed and decompressed repeatedly during rendering of an image). An exemplary method for processing graphics data according to one or more embodiments of the invention thus begins with the updating of one or more tiles of a first image array, which are then compressed, using a real-time buffer compression algorithm, to obtain compressed image array tiles. The compressed image array tiles are stored for subsequent use as a texture. During real-time rendering of a second image array, the compressed image array tiles are retrieved and decompressed using a decompression algorithm corresponding to the buffer compression algorithm. The decompressed image array tiles are then applied as a texture to one or more primitives in the second image array.
