摘要: A lighter having a main fuel containment housing body and a forward hinged lid with a closed position and an open position, the open position providing access to the flame generator assembly. The flame generator assembly providing a wind shield with a flame outlet that, when the lighter is in an operation orientation, is directed upwardly and in a direction generally perpendicular to the major dimension of the lighter in the closed position. The windshield having dimples with apertures extending outwardly for reducing wind while providing oxygen. The lighter may have a forward sleeve with a closeable lid, the sleeve extending around the four sides of the housing and slidable on the fuel containment housing. An actuation portion effects a transition from the closed position to an operational position, opening the lid and sliding the sleeve downwardly exposing the flame generation system out of an opening in the sleeve.

摘要: A delivery system extends from a laser radiation source for connecting to a medical device that utilizes the laser radiation for medical treatment. The delivery system comprises an optical fiber connecting to a male launch connecter. The male launch connector having a body portion with the optical fiber fixed or constrained therein and the optical fiber terminating at a male ferrule with a forward directed fiber facet, the male ferrule may be cantilevered within the body portion by the optical fiber line providing freedom of movement of the male ferrule. The launch connector engages a receiving connector on the medical device first with mechanical connection portions and then more finely aligning optical connection portions by the male ferrule self aligning in a female ferrule with cooperating tapered surfaces. The male portion may fully seat in the female portion with cooperating cylindrical surfaces.

摘要: A rifle having a straight pull bolt assembly with a bolt handle that extends outward and downward from a bolt operation mechanism. The bolt handle rotatable a limited rotational range forward and rearwardly about a horizontal axis for operating the mechanism. The handle can be reconfigured to position its rotational range about the horizontal axis and can be attached to the mechanism at either left or right sides to provide for ambidextrous operation. Bolt heads, lower frame members with magazine wells, and barrel assemblies can be readily swapped to change ammunition. The bolt assembly can be unlocked by firing or by a thumb push button release at the backside of the mechanism. A bolt removal release mechanism is forward of the thumb pushbutton and an ejector includes a spring bias and cam follower surface to reliably eject casings.

摘要: Systems and methods for calculating launch sites for a satellite constellation are provided. A carrier aircraft may be configured to launch a first satellite into the first orbit and a second satellite into the second orbit. In some embodiments, information about an accessible range of the aircraft may be received. Based on the received information, a geographical area that the aircraft can access without landing may be calculated. Using received information and the orbit parameters of the first orbit and the second orbit, a first launch site for launching the first satellite and a second launch site for launching the second satellite may be calculated. The first launch site may comprise a first geographical position and a first launch time, and the second launch site may comprise a second geographical position and a second launch time. Both launch sites may be within the calculated geographical area.

The second tree portion includes a second trunk portion, second branches, and a second light string. The second trunk portion has a trunk connector and a second trunk wiring assembly, the second trunk wiring assembly electrically connectable to the second lighting string and the trunk connector. The second tree portion may be mechanically coupled and electrically connected to the first tree portion by coaxially coupling the first trunk portion to the second trunk portion.

摘要: A two wheeled throwable robot comprises an elongate chassis with two ends, a motor at each end, drive wheels connected to the motors, and a tail extending from the elongate chassis. The throwable robot includes a pair of torque limiting mechanisms, each torque limiting mechanism being operatively coupled between a motor and a drive wheel. Each torque limiting mechanism comprises a drive flange portion, a driven flange portion and a plurality of rollers. A spring element provides a ring force that biases the rollers toward the driven flange portion.
