    摘要: A first node that operates according to a first radio access technology (RAT) provides a first schedule to a second node that operates according to a second RAT. The first schedule requests a first portion of a subsequent time interval for transmission in an unlicensed frequency band. The first node receives one or more second schedules from a second node. The one or more second schedules request one or more second portions of the subsequent time interval for transmission in the unlicensed frequency band. The first node transmits signals in the unlicensed frequency bands during a third portion of the subsequent time interval that is determined based on the at least one second portion.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for using a plurality of antennas to equalize a composite propagation channel of a wideband wireless communication is provided. The method comprises adjusting a corresponding weight associated with at least two of the plurality of antennas to obtain a channel response from the plurality of antennas over a composite propagation channel. The method further comprises equalizing the channel response of the composite propagation channel over a given bandwidth based on the corresponding weights for the wireless communication over a wideband frequency range. By adjusting a complex weight associated with each of the set of transmit antennas, a wireless communication system may obtain a channel response from the plurality of antennas over the composite propagation channel. In this way, the wireless communication system may combine multiple antenna signals from the set of transmit antennas with the complex weights to provide an overall transfer function that is substantially flat over a given bandwidth.

    摘要: Base stations can exchange information indicating that the base stations are transmitting (or going to transmit) downlink signals over one or more unlicensed frequency bands. For example, a first indication that a first base station is reserving a first subset of a plurality of unlicensed frequency bands for downlink transmission can be transmitted over one or more interfaces between the first base station and one or more second base stations. The one or more second base stations can then refrain from transmitting potentially interfering downlink transmissions over the first subset of the plurality of unlicensed frequency bands. Information identifying the first subset may be stored by the one or more second base stations.

    摘要: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and apparatus for device discovery in device-to-device (D2D) communication. One embodiment of the method includes generating first information indicative of a first synchronization signal in response to a request from a first user equipment to be authenticated for D2D communication with one or more second user equipment. The first information corresponds to a sequence used to generate a primary synchronization signal for transmission by a serving cell for the first user equipment. This embodiment of the method also includes providing the first information to the first user equipment so that the first user equipment can transmit the first synchronization signal.

The user equipment provide a value of the measured characteristic from the user equipment in response to the value indicating that a probability of an application layer decoding error exceeds a first threshold. The measured characteristic may be a block error rate (BLER) or a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) for the multicast signal or the broadcast signal.
