摘要: Machines for cutting products and impellers therefor. Such an impeller is adapted to be coaxially mounted within a cutting head for rotation therein. The impeller includes a lower plate having a paddle that directs material placed on the lower plate in a radially outward direction of the impeller when the impeller is rotated. A recess in the lower plate is continuous between upper and lower surfaces of the lower plate and contiguous with the perimeter of the lower plate to define a passageway to enable debris at the upper surface to exit the impeller therethrough. A chute is located at an outer radial extent of the paddle and defines a first opening adjacent the paddle, a second opening adjacent the recess, and a passageway within the chute and between the first and second openings through which the debris passes before exiting the impeller through the passageway of the recess.

摘要: A method for identifying a frequency producing a dominant vibration response of an underground structure includes the steps of inducing controlled acoustic waves in the structure via ground, the acoustic waves varying over a predetermined frequency range, measuring vibration response associated with the structure in response to the controlled acoustic waves over the predetermined frequency range, using a measurement device in vibrational communication with the structure, detecting a dominant vibration response among measurements across all frequencies of the predetermined frequency range, and, identifying a frequency of the predetermined frequency range which produced the dominant vibration response.

摘要: A printer has first and second print sections 100, 200 joined along a line 12, and a controller 50. Each section contains a printhead 120; 220 travelling on a track 110; 210. A frame or frame part 104 supports the track and is driven on wheels by a motor, so that the printer can travel autonomously along a horizontally extending step edge, printing as it goes. It further includes a sensor for detecting the proximity of the vertical face 5v of the step. The printer can thus be set to print advertising, for instance, on the steps of a stadium.

摘要: Clamping assemblies for securing knives to slicing machines, slicing machines equipped therewith, and tools for removing and installing knives on slicing machines. Such a clamping assembly may include a knife holder, a knife supported on a surface of the knife holder, and a clamp that clamps the knife to the knife holder. The clamp has a knife-engaging portion and a base portion. A cam rod applies a clamping load to the clamp to secure the knife to the knife holder. The cam rod has a camming surface that engages the base portion of the clamp when the cam rod is rotated to a clamping position to clamp the knife against the knife holder, and a radial concavity sized to accommodate the base portion of the clamp such that the base portion is loosely received within the radial concavity when the radial concavity faces the clamp in an open position thereof.

摘要: Motorized vehicles that include a mast, a carriage supported by the mast, a hydraulic cylinder configured to raise and lower the carriage along the mast, forks or a platform coupled to the carriage and configured to support a load wherein raising and lowering the carriage raises and lowers the forks or the platform and thereby raises and lowers the load supported thereon, a system of sensors configured to gather data relating to objects in proximity to the motorized vehicle including at least two cameras configured to obtain video of at least two areas around the motorized vehicle, and one or more display screens configured to visually display the data gathered by the system of sensors or information based thereon to an operator including real-time video obtained by the cameras. Methods are provided for operating the vehicles with improved operator visibility and situational awareness relative to pre-existing vehicles.

摘要: Padding materials capable of use as or incorporation into protective products, and methods of producing such padding materials. The padding material includes a base and an array of raised unit cells that individually protrude from a surface of the base so that the unit cells are spaced apart from each other. The base and the unit cells are formed of a cured polymeric material that contains fine porosity, and a substrate formed of a textile or fabric material is embedded in the base and permeated by the cured polymeric material.

摘要: Systems and methods for monitoring and tracking the behavior of cells and tissues in a culturing medium, for example, in a cell culture medium or an in vivo tissue environment, using a tissue scaffold system having one or more sensor arrays. Such monitoring systems include a tissue scaffold system and one or more sensor arrays on the tissue scaffold system in vertically stackable configurations. The sensor array(s) are configured to monitor electrical impedance and/or electrophysiological activities of cells or tissues which may be provided to an external data acquisition system for production of a three-dimensional (3D) map.
