摘要: Manufacture of TFTs corresponding to various circuits makes structures thereof complex, which involves a larger number of manufacturing steps. Such an increase in the number of the manufacturing steps leads to a higher manufacturing cost and a lower manufacturing yield. In the invention, a high concentration of impurities is doped by using as masks a tapered resist that is used for the manufacture of a tapered gate electrode, and the tapered gate electrode, and then the tapered gate electrode is etched in the perpendicular direction using the resist as a mask. A semiconductor layer under the thusly removed tapered portion of the gate electrode is doped with a low concentration of impurities.

摘要: The present invention provides an evaluation method for evaluating whether a light-emitting element material to be evaluated is suitable for a host material or a guest material. By carrying out a first step of measuring absorption intensity of a light-emitting element material and a second step of irradiating the light-emitting element material with light for a predetermined period of time, repeatedly; thereby a change in absorption intensity with time is evaluated so that whether the light-emitting material is suitable for a host material or a guest material can be distinguished. The light emitted to the light-emitting element material preferably has a wavelength component which is absorbed by a skeleton which contributes to excitation of the light-emitting element material.

摘要: A circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like, comprising a needle cylinder with vertical axis and multiple axial surface slots, each of which accommodates a needle and an actuation element for the needle. The actuation element comprises at least one connecting element. The connecting element is provided with a radially extractable movable heel, that engages connecting element actuation cams facing the lateral surface of the needle cylinder. The cams comprise at least one extraction cam or one retraction cam, which has a portion whose profile is inclined with respect to an ideal plane perpendicular to the axis of the needle cylinder. The machine comprises extraction means causing extraction of the movable heel and keeping thereof in extracted position over the entire extension of the portion having an inclined profile of the extraction cam or of the retraction cam.

摘要: An associative memory 4 for primary searching operation of an associative memory 23 supplies a valid state to a primary match line 13 corresponding to storage data coincident with search data 10 taking mask information into account, and supplies a value obtained from a result of a logical sum operation (an OR operation), with a valid state for the storage data as true, of all said coincident storage data to a counting means 25 as intermediate data 15. The counting means 25 supplies a result of an operation to the intermediate data 15 for counting the number of bits in an invalid state for the storage data to an associative memory 3 for secondary searching operations as secondary search data 19. Among secondary storage data obtained by carrying out said operation to said storage data, the associative memory 3 for secondary searching operation supplies a result of carrying out the searching operation of the secondary search data 19 to a secondary match line 21. The invalidation means 22 changes a secondary match line 21 corresponding to a primary match line 13 in an invalid state into an invalid state to supply to an external source as a match line 11.

摘要: In a laser irradiation apparatus having low running costs as compared with a conventional apparatus and a laser beam irradiation method using the same, a crystalline semiconductor film having a crystal grain of a grain size equivalent to or larger than a conventional one is formed, and a TFT is manufactured by using the crystalline semiconductor film, so that the TFT enabling a high speed operation is realized. In a case where a laser beam of a short output time from a solid laser as a light source is irradiated to a semiconductor film, another laser beam is delayed from one laser beam, and the laser beams are synthesized to be irradiated to the semiconductor film, so that a cooling speed of the semiconductor film is made gentle, and it becomes possible to form the crystalline semiconductor film having the crystal grain of the grain size equivalent to or larger than that in a case where a laser beam having a long output time is irradiated to the semiconductor film. By manufacturing a TFT using such a crystalline semiconductor film, the TFT enabling the high speed operation can be realized.
