    Abstract: A method of controlling a refrigerator including a cold air generator and a cold air transmission unit includes, when a temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or greater than a first reference temperature, operating the cold air generator with predetermined cooling power and turning on and operating the cold air transmitter with predetermined output, upon determining that the temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or less than a second reference temperature lower than the first reference temperature, turning off the cold air transmitter, and, upon determining that the temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or greater than the first reference temperature, turning on the cold air transmitter again, wherein a controller determines operation output of the cold air transmitter based on the cooling power of the cold air generator.

    Abstract: A smart entryway includes an entrance door assembly configured to allow users (e.g., residents) to enter and exit a first space (e.g., a residence) and a storage assembly configured to allow secondary users (e.g., deliverymen) in a second space (e.g., a porch) to store items for later retrieval by the users. A portion of the storage assembly may be optionally refrigerated or heated. A security assembly is provided between the entrance door assembly and the storage assembly. The security assembly includes an authentication device to authenticate users and secondary users and a locking device to unlock the storage assembly and the entrance door assembly upon authentication. The locking device is provided behind the authentication device and concealed from the second space. When a first door of the storage assembly accessible from the first space is opened, a second door of the storage assembly accessible from the second space is locked.

    Abstract: An embodiment provides a sensing device comprising: a magnet; a first collector disposed to correspond to a path along which the magnet moves; and a first sensor disposed at one side of the first collector, wherein the first collector comprises a first leg part and a second leg part, the first leg part and the second leg part each comprise a facing surface disposed to face the magnet, and the sensing device comprises an area in which a gap between the first leg part and the second leg part increases along a direction from one side toward the other side thereof or an area in which the facing surface of each of the first leg part and the second leg part has a width decreasing along a direction from one side toward the other side thereof. Accordingly, the sensing device can reduce an effect of an external magnetic field to improve sensing accuracy.
