    摘要: A coaxial physical layer device operates in at least two different modes: a discovery mode and a normal mode. In the discovery mode, a first orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) coaxial signal is received that has a preamble including a plurality of first training fields and at least one second training field. Each first training field is shorter than each second training field. In the normal mode, a second OFDM coaxial signal is received that has a preamble including a single training field. The single training field is shorter than an OFDM symbol.

    摘要: A computing device is configured to receive an incoming communication from another computing device. The incoming communication may be for purpose of initiating a voice-exchange session. In response to receiving the incoming call, the computing device may identify or determine a message identifier of the other computing device. The message identifier is determined based at least in part on data provided with the incoming communication. The computing device may programmatically address a message to the other computing device using the message identifier determined from the incoming communication.

    摘要: A system and a method are disclosed for sharing contact information between two mobile phones. A user of a first mobile phone can select contact information stored in the mobile phone to be shared with a second mobile phone while having live phone call with a caller of the second mobile phone. The first mobile phone transmits the contact information to the second mobile phone using a voice channel of the phone call while the phone call is established. For example, the first mobile phone may convert the contact information into an audio signal and send the audio signal to the second mobile phone while the phone call is established. The second mobile phone receives the contact information and provides a user interface such that a caller can call a phone number in the contact information with a single button press.

    摘要: A mobile computing device is presented. The mobile computing device has two housing segments that each contains a set of electrical components. The housing segments are slideably coupled to each other to move between a first position and a second position. The mobile computing device also has a cable connector that connects the sets of electrical components together. The cable connector is configured to include three connector structures that are each configured to mate with a connector. A first connector structure is configured to mate with a first connector of the first housing segment in connecting to the first set of electrical components. Similarly, a second connector structure is configured to mate with a first connector of the second housing segment in connecting to a first portion of the second set of electrical components. The third connector structure is configured to mate with a second connector of the second housing segment in connecting to a second portion of the second set of electrical components.

    摘要: An implantable digestive organ is provided for the transport of materials through the digestive tract and in one particular application to an artificial large bowel for replacing all or part of a colon. The prosthetic organ of one embodiment includes an outer support structure, an expandable member or members located within the support structure, and a flexible inner member forming a conduit for passage of material. The inner member is located within the outer member and the expandable member(s) is located between the inner member and the support structure. The expandable members are expanded and contracted, or inflated and deflated to provide pumping action that pumps material through the organ. The prosthesis may also include valves or sphincters at its entrance and/or exit points where material moves into and out of the prosthesis. An implantable pump may be included for inflating and deflating the expandable members in a desired sequence.

Detection circuitry in the first channel detects transitions in the first amplified signal in accordance with a detected transition rate. The detected transition rate is based on the first gain control value. Gain control logic adjusts the first gain control value based on a desired detected transition rate. The gain control logic generates a second gain control value for use during a second mode. The second gain control value being based on the first gain control value.

    摘要: The present application describes a system and method for testing the position locating and navigation technology of a wireless client. To simulate the locations of the wireless access points in the array that are visible to the wireless client from the simulated location, the round-trip time between the wireless client and a wireless access point can be modified by delaying a response signal from the wireless access point in response to a signal received from the wireless client. The wireless client, knowing the location of the wireless access point and the expected response time of the wireless access point, interprets the delay in the response of the wireless access point as proportional to the distance of the wireless access point from the simulated location of the wireless client.

    摘要: A wireless communication device includes a core logic, first and second transceiver chains, first and second antennas, and an interference processor. The core logic is coupled to both the first and second transceiver chains, which in turn are coupled to the first and second antennas, respectively. The interference processor is coupled between the first and second transceiver chains. To calibrate circuitry within the first transceiver chain using first signals generated in the first transceiver chain while the second transceiver chain is transmitting second signals via the second antenna, the interference processor connects the transmit circuit of the second transceiver chain to the receive circuitry of the first transceiver chain to form an interference feedback path that can be used to compensate for unwanted components of the second signal undesirably picked up by the first antenna.
