摘要: This invention relates to a method of preoperative planning to correct spine misalignment of a patient, comprising a step of making a translation and a rotation, in a sagittal plane, of each vertebra of a set of several cervical and/or thoracic and/or lumbar imaged spine vertebrae, so that said set of imaged vertebrae presents afterwards, in the sagittal plane, the same cervical lordosis and/or the same thoracic kyphosis and/or the same lumbar lordosis as a model adapted for said patient, wherein it also comprises, before said step of making said translation and said rotation in a sagittal plane: a step of making a translation and a rotation, in a coronal plane, of each vertebra of said set of several cervical and/or thoracic and/or lumbar imaged spine vertebrae, so that said set of imaged vertebrae becomes straight in said coronal plane, and of making a rotation, in an axial plane, of each vertebra of said set of several cervical and/or thoracic and/or lumbar imaged spine vertebrae, so that said set of imaged vertebrae becomes axially aligned.

摘要: A test fixture for determining calibration accuracy of an aircraft angle of attack sensor vane includes an outer disc, configured to be transiently fixed to an aircraft exterior portion surrounding the sensor vane, and an inner disc that includes a spring-loaded plunger configured to physically engage the sensor vane during tests. The inner disc is rotatable relative to the outer disc to accommodate rotation of the sensor vane when engaged with the inner disc. The outer disc includes a ring gear fixed thereto; the inner disc includes a manually operated knob containing a spur gear that reacts with the ring gear to rotate the inner disc when the knob is rotated. The outer disc is a clamshell structure formed of an upper annular disc and a lower annular disc rigidly secured together, and the inner disc is rotatably retained between the upper and lower annular discs.

摘要: A radial blade impeller for an industrial fan assembly may include a cylindrical impeller hub having a hub outer surface and a hub shaft bore, a plurality of impeller blade assemblies circumferentially spaced about the hub outer surface and extending outward from the hub outer surface. A first sprocket disposed on a first end of the impeller hub engages a lateral edge of each of the impeller blade assemblies and has a plurality of first sprocket teeth extending outward from a first sprocket outer edge. Each of the first sprocket teeth corresponds to one of the impeller blade assemblies and engages and is secured to the first lateral edge of the corresponding one of the impeller blade assemblies. A second sprocket disposed on a second end of the impeller hub has a similar configuration with second sprocket teeth aligning with and engaging opposite lateral edges of the impeller blade assemblies.

摘要: A lid, for attachment to a container holding a liquid for use with a liquid spraying device, a vent duct defining a vent conduit extending through a lid body from a duct inlet end to a duct outlet end. A valve is disposed in the vent duct and is configured to permit air flow in a first direction, from the duct inlet end to the duct outlet end, while preventing liquid flow in a second direction opposite the first direction. 摘要: An energy harvesting system is provided and a corresponding method for harvesting energy from an aircraft cabin pressurization system utilizing the same. According to one aspect, an energy harvesting system includes an aircraft cabin enclosing a high-pressure environment of pressurized air. An air input receives incoming air from a low-pressure environment and an air output expels outgoing air from the high-pressure environment. A turbine receives the pressurized air expelled from the aircraft cabin and utilizes the pressurized air to produce rotational motion on a turbine shaft. An energy harvesting mechanism is coupled to the turbine shaft and utilizes the rotational motion from the turbine shaft to compress the incoming air or to create electrical energy.

摘要: A one-way ratchet overrunning clutch includes first and second concentric races, the first race having pockets configured to contain pawls, each pocket including a boss having an exterior convex surface defining an arc of about 180°. Each pawl is supported on one boss, and is adapted to ratchet about the boss to selectively lock the races together. Each pawl has a J-shaped body including a pair of legs joined by a hook portion that with one of the legs defines a concave surface. The concave surface is configured to partially engage a complementary exterior convex surface of a corresponding boss, and the concave surface defines an arc ranging from 90° to at least 150° adapted to circumscribe an identical range of the convex surface of the corresponding boss. The interactive convex and concave surfaces of respective pawl and boss elements provide an effective pawl retention system under centrifugal forces.

摘要: A chine spoiler system enhances aircraft wing stall recovery characteristics while optimizing a maximum lift coefficient (CLMAX) of an aft-swept wing on an aircraft having an engine nacelle mounted below the wing. The system includes a chine located on a surface of the nacelle; the chine is configured to generate a vortex at high angles of attack. The vortex passes over an upper surface of the wing, favorably influencing inboard wing aerodynamics to delay airflow separation from the wing, in advance of a stall. The vortex increases CLMAX, but also creates a nose-up pitching moment on an aft-swept wing, which degrades stall recovery. A chine spoiler system module is configured to render the chine ineffective at predetermined wing flap configurations and angles of attack (typically post CLMAX) to balance the objectives of achieving high pre-stall CLMAX, while providing a nose-down pitching moment increment for improved stall recovery.

摘要: An aircraft includes a fuselage having a longitudinal axis, a wing assembly, and a fuselage positioning mechanism operatively connecting the fuselage to the wing assembly. The fuselage positioning mechanism is operable to move the fuselage relative to the wing assembly in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis between a fuselage maximum forward position and a fuselage maximum aft position. When the aircraft for flight, a position of a center of gravity of the aircraft relative to a center of lift is determined. The fuselage can be moved relative to the wing assembly to bring the center of gravity within an allowable range of distances from the center of lift to balance the aircraft for flight. The fuselage positioning mechanism can be automated to allow adjustment of the fuselage position during the flight of the aircraft.
