摘要: Disclosed are seating made from pressure vessels, such as cylindrical propane tanks with hemispherical ends, as well as methods for making this kind of seating. The methods involve cutting sections of the reclaimed tanks and placing those sections on a jig that establishes defined, ergonomic positions for seat and back portions of the furniture, and welding appropriate ends or supports to the sections to form the piece of furniture. The pieces of furniture are made without bending, rolling, or otherwise changing the shape of the cut sections from the pressure vessel.

摘要: Fixturing elements for positioning components on a work surface with a fixed or variable pitch are disclosed. The fixturing elements include a bottom portion adapted to be coupled directly or indirectly to the work surface and a top portion with a generally horizontally-extending slot or track. An insert is adapted to be positioned within the slot or track, which allows the insert to be slid or positioned at any number of positions along the slot or track. The insert may, for example, include a vertically-extending pin or a threaded hole that is adapted to receive other components. In some embodiments, the fixturing element may include an exterior side slot that opens into the slot or track, and a handle element may be inserted through the side slot and into the insert, allowing the inserted to be positioned using the handle element.

摘要: Connectors for connecting light emitting diode (LED) strip light to power are disclosed. The connectors include a housing with a first opening sized to accept an LED strip light and a second opening for a power cord or electrical leads. The openings open into an interior cavity with an internal vertical barrier to separate power and ground leads. Gripping structures proximate to the first opening retain the strip light. A gasket or gaskets within the connector seal the connector from the elements. The second opening may carry a strain relief molded to the power cord. Additionally, an adapter or nipple may be provided to connect the connector to conduit.

摘要: A joint support and strain relief that provides support for the entire joint between a power cord and a strip light is disclosed. The joint support and strain relief is comprised of a cuff portion that defines a curved interior channel designed to cradle a power cord and a contiguous spade portion in the form of a thin, flat, generally rectangular plate. The strip light is typically secured to the spade portion with adhesive. The spade portion may have sidewalls to assist with the alignment of the strip light, and those sidewalls may have attached to their upper edges horizontally inwardly-extending tabs parallel to and above the bottom of the spade portion. The joint support and strain relief may also have tabs with holes or openings that allow the piece to be attached to a substrate.

摘要: An animal trap has a housing (2) and a support (12) extending within the housing. The support is movable between a first, set position and a second, fired position. A trigger (6) is integrally formed with the support (12) and protrudes from the bottom of the housing in the set position. Wire loops (4), which act to kill an animal, are fixed to the bottom of the support (12) and also protrude downwardly. In the set position of the trap, shoulders (18) on the trigger (6) are engaged beneath flanges (20) formed on the bottom of the housing. These shoulders (18) and flanges (20) form interengaging means to hold the trigger (6) and the support (12) in the downwardly extending set position against the force of two torsion springs (22) which are each affixed to the bottom of the support (12) and to the housing (2). The trigger (6) can be moved by an animal due to its flexibility. This causes the interengaging means to become unengaged and the support (12) to move explosively to its upper fired position. The movement of the support explosively lifts the wire loops (4) whereby an animal within a loop is squashed against the bottom of the housing.
