摘要: A fatigue degree input unit inputs a fatigue degree of a user through use of a processing device, and writes an input value of the fatigue degree into a storage device. A recommended duration calculation unit reads the input value of the fatigue degree written by the fatigue degree input unit from the storage device. In accordance with the input value of the fatigue degree read from the storage device, the recommended duration calculation unit calculates a bath duration to be recommended to the user, as a recommended duration, through use of the processing device. A recommended duration informing unit informs the user of the recommended duration calculated by the recommended duration calculation unit, through an output device.

摘要: A communication slave used in a communication network system includes a control device, a capacitive element, a voltage determining portion, and a time measuring portion. The control device controls communication with a master. The capacitive element is coupled between a high-potential side bus and a low-potential side bus. The voltage determining portion determines whether a voltage between the buses exceeds a threshold voltage. The time measuring portion measures a time from when a charge of the capacitive element through the buses is started to when the voltage determining portion determines that the voltage exceeds the threshold voltage. The control device sets an ID value for communicating with the master based on a length of the time measured by the time measuring portion.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for applying an application liquid between a template and a substrate, and transferring the transfer pattern onto the application liquid. The template is inclinedly arranged with respect to the substrate in a manner that a first distance between a first end portion of the template and the substrate is a distance that causes a capillary action of the application liquid to occur, and a second distance between a second end portion of the template that opposes the first end portion and the substrate is a distance that does not cause the capillary action of the application liquid to occur. Thereafter, the application liquid is supplied from an outer side of the first end portion to the first end portion. Thereafter, the second end portion and the substrate are relatively moved so that the second distance becomes equal to the first distance.

摘要: A pressure sensor has a diaphragm with a first layer and a second layer, a pressure transmitting member being in contact with the second layer, and a sensing element. The diaphragm is deformable in response to a pressure applied on a front surface of the first layer. The transmitting member transmits this pressure to the sensing element. The sensing element detects the pressure. A heat applied to the diaphragm induces the layers to be shifted toward the transmitting member or the opposite side of the transmitting member due to a shape of the diaphragm. The layers of the diaphragm have thermal expansion coefficients differing from each other. A thermal deformation of the layers caused by the thermal expansion difference between the layers cancels out the thermal deformation of the layers originated in the shape of the diaphragm.

摘要: A vehicle direction indication device is configured such that a voltage of a battery power supply is detected, and when a direction indication light switch is switched to ON, a pulse width modulated signal is output. This pulse width modulated signal is generated by pulse width modulating a flash signal for driving a direction indication light in a flashing manner with a duty ratio based upon the detected voltage of the battery power supply; the duty ratio at which the voltage of the battery power supply is high becomes smaller than that at which the voltage of the battery power supply is low. The direction indication light is then driven in the flashing manner based upon the output signal.

摘要: In a power window apparatus, when a controller determines that a captured foreign object, which is captured between a window glass and a window frame of a door, is present, the controller executes an interrupting process that interrupts a current operation of a drive mechanism. The controller does not determine whether the captured foreign object is present in an initial mask period that is a time period from a time point of starting rotation of the electric motor to a time point, at which a rotational speed of the electric motor reaches a stable state. The initial mask period is variable based on an operational load of the electric motor.

摘要: Map data includes, for each of multiple links used for representing a road in a map, a link record and a speed limit record for a certain link. The link records and the speed limit records of the multiple links for representing a road are collected to form separate data lists of respective attribute types, that is, a link record data list and a speed limit record data list, instead of collecting records by a unit of each link. The map data structured as separate attribute data lists of respective attribute data types for links in the map data, for example, establishes inter-attribute data association between different attribute data types for the certain link based on the arrangement orders of the respective attribute data types in the data list indicative of the same arrangement order of the multiple links.

摘要: A vehicular power line communication system includes a master and a slave. The master uses a pair of twisted wires, whose far ends are connected to each other to be loop-shaped, as a power line and a communication line. The master thereby outputs high-frequency signals via the pair of twisted wires, transmitting an electric power and data modulation signals. The slave includes an aperture antenna being loop-shaped to receive data modulation signals using an electromagnetic induction connection in an electromagnetic field generated in the pair of twisted wires in response to an energization current of the pair of twisted wires. The slave further includes an error rate monitor circuit which monitors an error rate of data which are obtained from demodulation of the data modulation signals received via the aperture antenna.

摘要: A navigation apparatus carries out a diagnosing process for vehicle behavior, for example, whether sudden accelerating operation or sudden braking operation has been done, wherein the diagnosing process is carried out based on vehicle acceleration. It is necessary to accurately calculate the vehicle acceleration in order to perform a reliable diagnosing process. The navigation apparatus calculates a difference between a first vehicle acceleration defined by an output from an acceleration sensor and a second vehicle acceleration calculated based on a vehicle speed and vehicle angular speed. The navigation apparatus carries out the diagnosing process, for example, when the above difference between the first and second vehicle accelerations is less than a predetermined value.
