    Abstract: An imaging apparatus configured to notify an external control device of information in the imaging apparatus, the imaging apparatus includes: a communication circuitry configured to perform data communication with the control device; and the control circuitry configured to control the communication circuitry to transmit notification data to the control device in response to an event indicating that a state in the imaging apparatus changes, wherein the control circuitry is configured to control the communication circuitry, based on a preset thinning interval, to restrict transmission of the notification data to a specific event when the communication circuitry periodically transmits image data to the control device, the specific event occurring at the thinning interval among a plurality of events each occurring in the imaging apparatus, the image data being generated in the imaging apparatus.

    Abstract: A method and device for holding a subsurface layer of an elevated flooring portion of a floor structure at a distance from a subfloor in a vicinity of an opening in the flooring portion during a process of drying the floor structure. According to the invention there is provided at least one rod having a substantially perpendicularly angled end. The rod is inserted below the subsurface layer through the opening and the angled end of the rod is attached to an edge of a surface layer in the opening of the flooring portion in a manner that the rod supports the subsurface layer at said distance from the subfloor when the flooring portion is elevated.

    Abstract: An optical sorter includes a light source configured to irradiate a sorting target in transit on a conveyance route with light, an optical sensor configured to detect light emitted from the light source and associated with the sorting target, a determination portion configured to determine whether the sorting target is a foreign object and/or a defective product based on a signal acquired by the optical sensor with respect to the light associated with the sorting target, and at least one intermediate member disposed at a position located between the light source and the conveyance route in a direction in which the sorting target is irradiated with the light from the light source and located in such a manner that the intermediate member does not affect the detection of the light associated with the sorting target. The at least one intermediate member includes a reflection region on which the light emitted from the light source is reflected. The optical sensor is further configured to detect the light emitted from the light source and reflected on the reflection region.

    Abstract: A parallel link robot includes a base, a movable member, and multiple arms that connect the base and the movable member in parallel. Each of the arms includes: a drive link that is rotationally driven by a motor in the base; two parallel passive links that couple the drive link and the movable member; ball joints between the drive link and the corresponding passive link and between the movable member and the corresponding passive link; and attachment mechanisms that detachably attach the ball joints to the corresponding drive link or the movable member. Each ball joint includes a ball and a fixed part integral with the ball. At least one of the attachment mechanisms includes: a first screw hole in the fixed part; a second through-hole in the drive link or the movable member; and a screw member that is fastened to the first screw hole through the second through-hole.

    Abstract: A control circuit includes a latching relay, a power loss activation circuit, and a watchdog circuit. A microcontrol unit (MCU) communicates with the watchdog circuit in a normal operation of the control circuit. As an action of a failsafe precaution in the event of a main power loss or a component failure, the MCU stops communicating with the watchdog circuit, at which point the watchdog circuit instructs the power loss activation circuit to continue operation of the control circuit. The control circuit further operates to implement mitigation operations in the event of a main power loss or component failure.

    Abstract: A lens barrel 10 comprises a substantially cylindrical first lens group unit 11 that holds a lens L1, and a substantially cylindrical front frame unit 12 that is disposed in a state of being close to the outer peripheral surface side of the substantially cylindrical first lens group unit 11. The first lens group unit 11 has a rectilinear key 11c that protrudes outward in the radial direction on the outer peripheral surface of the lens L1 on the image plane side in the optical axis direction. The front frame unit 12 has an inside diameter that is smaller than the outside diameter of the first lens group unit 11 in the portion where the rectilinear key 11c is provided. The first lens group unit 11 and the front frame unit 12 are formed so that a gap is formed between the outside diameter of the first lens group unit 11 and the inside diameter of the front frame unit 12 at a position opposite the rectilinear key 11c in the radial direction.
