摘要: An industrial system includes an electronic badge worn or otherwise transported by an industrial vehicle operator. The electronic badge has a housing, a processor, and a transceiver coupled to the processor that communicates on a personal-area network with a badge communicator that is provided on an industrial vehicle when the electronic badge and the badge communicator are in range of each other. Further, an activity sensor collects activity information about the industrial vehicle operator as the industrial vehicle operator performs work tasks. The electronic badge exchanges data collected by the activity sensor with the industrial vehicle, for communication to a remote server. An electronic message is communicated to the industrial vehicle for output to a display thereon, and the electronic message defines an assigned task that is based upon previously collected data from the activity sensor.

摘要: A materials handling vehicle includes: a power unit including: a steered wheel, and a steering device for generating a steer control signal; a load handling assembly coupled to the power unit; a controller located on the power unit for receiving the steer control signal; and a sensing device on the power unit and coupled to the controller. The sensing device monitors areas in front of and next to the vehicle. Based on sensing device data, the controller may modify at least one of the following vehicle parameters: a maximum allowable turning angle or a steered-wheel-to-steering-device ratio.

摘要: An arch bridge system including first and second side walls, a foundation, and arch beams. The first and second side walls each include side wall sections supported by the foundation and aligned along the width of the system. Adjacent side wall sections form a column therebetween that defines an interior void extending along a height of the column. A first end of each arch beam is supported at the first side wall at an upper portion of one of the columns and a second end is supported at the second side wall at an upper portion of another one of the columns. Each interior void has reinforced concrete forming cast-in-place columns defining rigid, fixed, monolithic connections between the foundation, the first and second side walls, and the plurality of arch beams. A method of producing an arch bridge system is also disclosed.

摘要: A system is provided that controls an industrial vehicle responsive to encountering working environment tags. The system comprises a transceiver and a tag reader mounted on the industrial vehicle. Also, the system comprises an information processing device communicably coupled to the transceiver and the tag reader. The information processing device comprises a processor in data communication with memory. In this regard, the processor is programmed to receive an identifier of a tag detected by the tag reader while the industrial vehicle is being operated within a work environment, and access electronically, a predetermined action based upon the identifier of the detected tag. The processor is further programmed to communicate information across a vehicle network bus to at least one electronic component of the industrial vehicle to perform the predetermined action, wherein the predetermined action automatically modifies a working state of the industrial vehicle.

摘要: Industrial vehicle monitoring for modification of vehicle operator behavior comprises storing data identifying an event associated with the operation of an industrial vehicle, the data having a performance parameter to evaluate against the event. Further, operation of the industrial vehicle is monitored for an event. When an occurrence of the event is detected, event data that characterizes an action of a vehicle operator is recorded into memory. The recorded event data is evaluated against the performance parameter to determine whether the vehicle operator demonstrated appropriate behavior for the detected event, and a behavior modification action is determined based on the evaluation of the recorded event data against the performance parameter. An output message is conveyed on the industrial vehicle to perform the behavior modification action.
