摘要: A quantum key distribution system may include a transceiver including a state randomizer to impart a random state transformation to one or more qubits of a generated faint pulse and a quantum bit encoder to reflect the faint pulse back to the transceiver with one or more encoded bits. The transceiver may receive a return pulse through the communication channel, where the state randomizer reverses the random state transformation. The transceiver may include three or more detectors to measure the return pulse at time-gated timeslots associated with possible paths of the return pulse. Reception of the faint pulse from the quantum bit encoder as the return pulse triggers a detector in a first known subset of the detectors, while reception of a faked-state pulse from a third party as the return pulse results in a non-zero probability of triggering of a detector in a second known subset of the detectors.

摘要: A clockable articulation insert for a seat is disclosed. The clockable articulation insert includes a base portion that inserts into a cavity within the frame or spreader bar of the seat. The clockable articulation insert further includes a face that comprises a guide slot that couples to a cross piece of the seat that is itself coupled to a seat pan. Movement of the cross piece within the guide slot changes the tilt, extension, and/or rake of the seat pan. Clocking the clockable articulation insert to a different position alters the articulation profile of the clockable articulation insert, resulting in a different set of ranges of tilt, extension, and/or rake that can be accomplished by sliding the cross piece within the guide slot. The set of articulation profiles may be further changed by replacing the clockable articulation insert with another clockable articulation insert configured with a differently designed guide slot.

摘要: A system and apparatus assists pilots and flight crews in determining the best course of action at any particular point inflight for any category of emergency. The system monitors a plurality of static and dynamic flight parameters including atmospheric conditions along the flight path, ground conditions and terrain, conditions aboard the aircraft, and pilot/crew data. Based on these parameters, the system may provide continually updated information to the pilot or crew about the best available landing sites or recommend solutions to aircraft configuration errors. In case of emergency, the system may provide the pilot with procedure sets associated with a hierarchy of available emergency landing sites (or execute these procedure sets via the autopilot system) depending on the specific nature of the emergency.

摘要: The present disclosure is a system for risk-based scheduling of a containerized application service. The system may include a scheduler extender which is configured to receive a list of nodes available to process an application or part of an application to be completed by one or more nodes of the list of nodes and receive information from one or more information technology (IT) sensors configured to measure an aspect of an IT operation associated with nodes of the list of nodes. The scheduler extender may be configured to filter the list of nodes based on the information from the one or more information technology (IT) sensors which measure an aspect of an IT operation associated with nodes of the list of nodes.

摘要: An Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) receiver configured to receive an incoming optical beam modulated with data and output an output signal including the modulated data. A lens receives the incoming optical beam. Photodiodes positioned at a distance from the lens and proximal to the focal plane of the lens receive a fraction of the incoming optical beam and generate a photocurrent in correspondence with photons received. The photodiodes are provided in a two-dimensional array including rows and columns wherein outputs of the columns are combined and their photocurrents are summed. An amplifier connected to the combined output of the columns converts the summed photocurrents into an output signal. Interconnections of the photodiodes form at least two parallel branches wherein each branch includes a cascade of at least two photodiodes forming a combined photodetector surface.
