A method for providing privacy during delivery of ABR media content to a plurality of ABR OTT client devices includes receiving, at a network node that includes a Controlled Cache, an ABR manifest for an ABR media asset. The ABR manifest includes a segmentation-units index. Responsive to receiving a request for the ABR media asset from an ABR OTT client device, the method sends to the ABR OTT client device a custom manifest having a number of segmentation-units in segments that is customized for an ABR playback session. A network node, which can be one of an origin server, an edge server and a Just-In-Time Packager (JIT-P), and a computer program product for providing privacy during delivery are also shown.

A system and method for mitigating motion artifacts in a media streaming network, wherein a scheme for facilitating adaptive post-decode (PD) filtering at a client device is provided. Extraction of still area grid information is effectuated at a source media processing node. Extracted still area grid information is multiplexed with audio/video components for appropriately signaling to downstream devices based on media containerization deployed for distribution. A client device is operative to select a suitable PD filter based on a plurality of selection criteria and apply the selected PD filter to the still area grids of the decoded image frames.

A method permits a UE receiver to detect and report to the network a scrambling code collision (i.e., two neighbor cells transmitting with the same scrambling code while timing is aligned). The UE receiver decodes the PCCPCH's physical channel with all the associated broadcast information while a scrambling code collision at the UE is present. The UE reports SFN-SFN information to the network, to insure the UE mobility and then prepare the handover to a new detected cell. This process and a respective apparatus are usable in the presence of MIMO and further improve the detection of the scrambling code collision in the presence of MIMO.

If the SAR is not within the limit or is about to exceed the limit, then the tunable element settings may be changed and retested.

An image of a subject is provided to an EDOF assembly, including a sensor assembly, and an extended-depth-of-field processor. The extended-depth-of-field processor provides for formation of a resultant, recorded image that exhibits improved depth of field characteristics.
