摘要: A system for transporting wind turbine blades includes a first support structure for supporting a cylindrical root section of a first wind turbine blade and a second support structure aligned with and spaced from the first support structure for supporting a tip section of the first wind turbine blade. A third support structure is included for supporting a tip section of a second wind turbine blade. A fourth support structure is spaced from and aligned with the third support structure for supporting a cylindrical root section of the second wind turbine blade. The first and second wind turbine blades extend with an edge-vertical orientation in opposing directions such that a tip of the first wind turbine blade is disposed horizontally adjacent the cylindrical root section of the second wind turbine blade and a tip of the second wind turbine blade is disposed horizontally adjacent the cylindrical root section of the first wind turbine blade.

摘要: A modular control system consisting of multiple, remotely retrievable functional modules for controlling a blowout preventer stack. The various functional modules can be located on the lower marine riser package and blowout preventer stack positioned near the equipment with which they are associated, wherein this distribution of modules nearly eliminates the complex interface connection between the lower marine riser package and blowout preventer stack. Each of the functional modules is capable of being installed, retrieved or replaced with a single remotely operated vehicle (ROV) deployment from a vessel. The functional modules can be used to operate as a complete control system for a blowout preventer stack or can be used selectively individually or in various combinations to accommodate multiple control applications or upgrades of other control systems.

摘要: A subsea control module for subsea well equipment has an actuator having a rod with a remote operated vehicle (ROV) interface on one end and a latch on an opposite end that latches to a subsea receptacle. Segments are releasably mounted around and to the actuator. Each of the segments has a sealed housing containing at least one internal control component. Couplings depend from the housing for engaging mating couplings in the receptacle. The housing has two radial walls, each extending along a radial line from an axis of the rod. An outer wall joins outer ends of the radial walls, the outer wall being a portion of a cylinder. An inner wall joins inner edges of the radial walls. The radial walls of adjacent ones of the segments abut each other.

摘要: A trampoline is disclosed that includes first, second, and third frame members, a pole member, and a sleeve joint coupling. The sleeve joint coupling includes a first arm with a first passage, a second arm with a second passage, a third arm extending away from the second arm and including a third passage, and an aperture. The first passage has a first axis, and the second and third passages shares a substantially common axis. The first axis is substantially perpendicular to the substantially common axis. The first frame member is received in the first passage, the second frame member is received in the second passage, the third frame member is received in the third passage, and the pole member is received in the aperture to extend away from the first frame member. At least one of the second and third arms defines an uppermost surface of the sleeve joint coupling.

摘要: A method of operating a locomotive including a set of electrical traction motors, a fuel cell power module for generating electrical current for the traction motors, an air system for providing an air mass to the fuel cell power module, and a cooling system for cooling the fuel cell power module. When an amount of power is requested from the power module, a required current and a stoic set point for the power module are determined. From the required current, the stoic set point, and numerical factors characterizing the power module, an air mass flow set point is determined for producing the requested amount of power. A compressor set point including speed and torque set points of a compressor motor are determined for the air system to produce the air mass flow corresponding to the requested amount of power.

摘要: A hydrogen hybrid locomotive including a set of batteries for driving a plurality of electric traction motors for moving the locomotive along a set of railroad rails and a fuel cell power plant for charging the set of batteries and driving the electric traction motors. The fuel cell power plant includes at least one fuel cell power module for generating electrical current by reacting hydrogen fuel and oxygen from intake air, the amount of electrical current being proportional to an air mass flow of the intake air. An air system selectively provides an air mass flow to the fuel cell module to generate an amount of electrical current required for corresponding operating conditions of the locomotive. A cooling system cools the at least one fuel cell power module in response to the amount of current being generated.

摘要: An access panel is shown in the present invention to provide easy and safe access to an attic space or elevated structure. The access panel is fully automatic. During opening, the access panel uses an energizing motor to control the gravitational forces for opening a cover and deploying ladder sections. During closing, the access panel is energized to retract the ladder sections and close the access panel. The motor is energized to close the access panel until a stow latch engages to stow the access panel during non-use. A safety switch is mounted inside the attic space to allow a user to open the panel and extend the ladder should the user be trapped in the attic space.
