    摘要: An electronic device may have an antenna module with a triplet of antennas on a substrate. The triplet may include a first antenna with a radiating element formed from a patch on the substrate and second and third antennas having radiating elements formed from patches on that extend across a smaller lateral area than the patch in the first antenna. The patches in the second and third antennas may have extended electrical lengths formed from parasitic patches embedded within the substrate that are coupled to opposing edges of the patches by fences of conductive vias. The antenna module may include phased antenna arrays for conveying centimeter/millimeter wave signals. Signal conductors for the antennas may be distributed across multiple metallization layers of the substrate.

Actuators may be used to adjust the spacing between the optical assemblies to accommodate different interpupillary distances. Upon detection of a power-down event or drop event, the device may be placed into an impact-safe mode. During the safe mode, the optical assemblies may be moved to predetermined impact-safe positions, brakes such as optical guide rail brakes may be adjusted, cushioning springs may be deployed, clutches may be adjusted, and/or other safety mechanisms may be activated to help protect the optical assemblies or other sensitive components from damage.

    摘要: An imaging system may include a silicon photomultiplier with single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). The imaging system may be a LIDAR imaging system with LIDAR processing circuitry. To reduce memory requirements in the LIDAR processing circuitry, a dynamic resolution storage scheme may be used. The LIDAR processing circuitry may include autonomous dynamic resolution circuitry that receives input from a time-to-digital converter (TDC). The autonomous dynamic resolution circuitry may include a plurality of memory banks having different resolutions. Based on the magnitude of the input from the TDC, an appropriate memory bank may be selected. In parallel, an address encoder may select a memory bin based on the input from the TDC.

    摘要: A wireless power system has first and second electronic devices. The first electronic device may receive power from an alternating-current-to-direct-current power converter. A magnetic sensor and/or other sensing circuitry may detect when a second electronic device is attached to the first electronic device. In response to detecting device attachment and receipt of power from the power converter, the first electronic device sends test wireless power signals to the second electronic device. During reception of the test signals, the second electronic device adjusts a ballast load so that output current from a rectifier in the second electronic device flows through the ballast load. The output of the rectifier is measured and compared to a threshold voltage. If the rectifier output voltage exceeds the threshold, the first electronic device is directed to alert the user that wireless charging of the second electronic device is commencing.

    摘要: An electronic device may include a radio that generates a first maximum power based on a radio-frequency exposure (RFE) budget. The radio may transmit signals subject to the first maximum power during a subperiod of an averaging period and may generate an instantaneous RFE metric value based on an antenna coefficient and the conducted transmit power of the antenna during the subperiod. The radio may generate a consumed RFE value by averaging the instantaneous RFE metric value with previous instantaneous RFE values from the averaging period, may generate a remaining budget based on the consumed RFE value, may generate a second maximum transmit power based on the remaining budget, and may transmit signals during a subsequent subperiod subject to the second maximum power. Time-averaging the RFE metric may serve to optimize performance of the radio relative to scenarios where the radio performs time-averaging of conducted TX power.
