Abstract: A power transmission system for a wind turbine includes a main shaft configured to be driven by the rotor about a main axis, a support structure including at least one bearing supporting the main shaft for rotation about the main axis, and a gearbox having a gearbox housing rigidly coupled to the support structure and a gearbox input member coupled to the main shaft. The gearbox housing supports the gearbox input member for rotation about the main axis, and the gearbox input member is coupled to the main shaft with a translational degree of freedom along the main axis and rotational degrees of freedom about axes perpendicular to the main axis. The main shaft is coupled to the gearbox input member by a flexible coupling positioned at least partially within the main shaft. The flexible coupling may be positioned entirely within the main shaft.

Abstract: Provided is an increased capacity firearm ammunition magazine with a metallic body. The body is dimensioned to compatibly replace a (OEM) polymer or polymer over metal single stack magazine. The body has walls with exterior dimensions compatibly matching those of the OEM magazine and that are thinner than those of the OEM magazine. The thinner walls allow an at least partially laterally offset arrangement of cartridges therein. A longitudinal exterior ridge extends along a forward wall of the body and is configured from the metallic body walls and sized to compensate for forward-to-aft dimensioning difference compared to that of the OEM magazine.

Abstract: A pouch machine vertical sealer capable of fusing a pouch film web to form a plurality of spaced vertical seals along a length of the film web to form pouches. Each vertical sealer land assembly includes an impulse heater such that contact between the film web and each impulse heater of the plurality of vertical sealer land assemblies forms the spaced apart vertical seals along the length of the film web.

Abstract: A sewer cleaning system includes a water tank, a pump operatively coupled to the water tank, a water hose operatively coupled to the pump, a vacuum-generating system, a vacuum hose operatively coupled to the vacuum-generating system, and a debris tank having a forward bulkhead defining a fluid chamber. The bulkhead includes a debris sieve configured to allow water in the debris tank to flow through to the fluid chamber while retaining particulates in the debris tank. The sewer cleaning system further includes an extraction pump in fluid communication with the fluid chamber and configured to extract the water in the fluid chamber. The extraction pump is in fluid communication with the water tank so as to send the extraction water from the fluid chamber to the water tank for re-use. A method for cleaning a sewer line is also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for providing and managing a lighting system. A lighting device of the system is configured to receive an activation signal from a user interface of the lighting device, an external communication device, or another lighting device. In response to receiving the activation signal, and if certain operational conditions are met, the lighting device may activate a light source and transmit another activation signal. Additional lighting devices receiving the activation signal from the first lighting device may also activate their light sources and retransmit the activation signal. Data carried by the activation signals and signals received from one or more sensors in each lighting device may be used by the lighting device to determine whether to activate its light source, and one or more characteristics of the light to be emitted.

Abstract: A structural assembly and a structural bracing system including the structural assembly are presented. The structural assembly includes Belleville disks and shape memory alloy (SMA) rods with nonlinear elastic behavior (e.g., Nitinol rods) to resist lateral force. Stacked Belleville disks are placed between plates resulting in nonlinear elastic behavior in compression. Shape memory alloy rods are placed at the corners of the plates and held by nuts at the exterior faces of the plates. The rods are loose when a compression load is applied to the plates and will work in tension when a tensile load is applied to the plates. A shaft (e.g., steel tube) is placed at the center of the Belleville disks to stabilize the assembly. Addition of the assembly with nonlinear elastic behavior in both tension and compression loadings to a structural bracing system improves the structural behavior of the bracing system.
