摘要: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate playback manipulation based upon a received notification. A client device such as a set-top box may receive information associated with a notification, wherein the notification comprises a reminder or action that is to be completed. The client device may output information associated with the notification to a display that is being used to present content to a viewer, wherein the output of information includes an identification of the reminder or requested action. The reminder or action may be associated with a predetermined duration of time within which the action is to be completed. If the action is not completed within the predetermined duration of time, the client device may manipulate playback and output of the content to the display until a confirmation of the action being completed is received by the client device.

摘要: Particular embodiments may remove a condition check in the semantics for checking a high-precision data flag. This simplifies the semantics used in the encoding and decoding process. In this case, even if the high-precision data flag is not set, the value of the weighted prediction syntax element is set by the BitDepth variable. However, even if the BitDepth is not considered high-precision data, such as 8 bits, the range for the weighted prediction syntax element is still the same as the fixed value. For example, the syntax elements luma_offset_l0[i], luma_offset_l1[i], delta_chroma_offset_l0[i][j], and delta_chroma_offset_l1[i][j] use the variable BitDepth as described above whether the flag extended_precision_processing_flag is enabled and not enabled to indicate whether the bit depth is above a threshold.

摘要: A multimode combiner or coupler (MMC) may combine the inputs into a larger core multimode fiber. The multimode combiner may be combined with a re-transmitting laser for detecting and re-transmitting signals. Thus, the multi-mode combiner may detect and combine input signals, and then retransmit the detected, combined signal. The detection can be implemented with multiple single mode fibers to small single mode detectors or a multi-mode coupler with a larger multi-mode detectors. In embodiments of the MMC, a bi-directional optical splitter/combiner includes a transmitter for re-transmitting an RF signal received at a receiver, a first wave division multiplexer (WDM) combiner combining the output of the first transmitter in an upstream direction to a downstream signal in a downstream direction, and a second WDM combiner combining split downstream signals in the downstream direction with upstream signals received via at least two optical fiber inputs.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the use of a station as a proxy for scanning one or more wireless channels. Upon a determination that a currently utilized wireless channel has become impaired, an access point may identify one or more idle wireless stations and may request that the one or more idle wireless stations perform a scan of one or more other wireless channels. The identified wireless station(s) may perform a scan of one or more other wireless channels and may provide an indication of the current level of congestion on each respective wireless channel to the access point. Based on the indication of the current congestion levels of each wireless channel, the access point may determine whether a more advantageous channel is available. If a more advantageous channel is available, the access point may tune to the more advantageous channel.

When the device identifies an alert trigger within one or more communications passing through the device, the device may output one or more emergency messages to one or more of the emergency contacts according to the one or more stored data profiles.

The correlation may generate scores based on the second screen media assets and the layout characteristics to determine a best fit of a second screen media asset for the target application. Then, the second screen media asset may be transcoded based on the characteristics of the target application or target device. After transcoding, particular embodiments may create a view of the second screen media asset in the target application, such as an overlay of the second screen media asset over a screen capture of the target application.

摘要: Disclosed are herein are methods and systems for encoding and decoding enhanced video streams using a legacy and scalable video components. In one aspect, a method of encoding video data in a packetized elementary stream (PES), is disclosed. The method includes receiving a signal including frames of image data, wherein the frames include base layer and enhancement layer components; encoding the frames of image data to form video access units (AUs), wherein base layer AUs are formed for base layer components and enhancement layers AUs are formed for enhancement layer components, each AU including: an elementary stream header (ELSM) including image data metadata parameters associated with decoding and displaying the image data; a PES header including a presentation time stamp (PTS) and a PES packet length indicating the length of the PES header; one or more codestreams associated with a frame of the image data; adding a network abstraction layer (NAL) unit header defined by an enhancement layer video standard to each base layer AU, the NAL unit header being a constant value and length; and forming a modified PES header by increasing the PES packet length to include the length of the NAL unit header in it.

摘要: A method for providing data streams to a plurality of customer premises equipment (CPE) devices communicatively coupled to a network is provided. Downstream network plant and CPE correlation information is generated with a digital controller that has access to a database including at least one of CPE control information, subscriber management information, security and access information, provisioning information, billing information, application traffic information, and configuration information. A plurality of data streams is provided as Protocol Independent Multicasts (PIM) streams to the plurality of CPE devices, and each of the CPE devices is provided with Multicast Address information relative to the PIM streams to permit auto-discovery by each of the CPE devices of appropriate PIM streams. An apparatus for preforming the above method is also disclosed.
