    摘要： A shimless aligner for insertion between a machine foot and base to align the foot relative to the base, which foot and base are secured together by a hold-down bolt extending between the foot and base. The aligner includes, a top plate having a slanted bottom surface, a taper wedge having a slanted top surface slidably engaging the slanted bottom surface of the top plate and further having a vertical alignment rod extending substantially laterally, a bottom plate below the taper wedge, and a back plate attached substantially perpendicularly at one end of the bottom plate. For receiving the hold-down bolt, the top and bottom plates have a corresponding hole, while the taper wedge has a slot. Said back plate has a hole for the vertical alignment rod to slidably engage the hole thereby preventing rotation of the taper wedge during vertical alignment operations and preserving bent foot corrections.

    摘要： An oral composition dentifrice comprising an orally acceptable vehicle, about 5-30% by weight of a siliceous polishing agent, a substantially water-insoluble noncationic antibacterial antiplaque agent, such as 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxydiphenyl ether (triclosan), and an antibacterial-enhancing agent which enhances the delivery of said antibacterial agent to, and retention thereof on, oral surfaces, wherein said antiplaque agent is substantially completely dissolved in saliva present during tooth and gum cleaning in a solubilizing agent therefor. The solubilizing agent may be a humectant polyol such as propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol and hexylene glycol; a cellosolve such as methy cellosolve and ethyl cellosolve: a vegetable oil or wax containing at least about 12 carbon atoms in a straight chain such as olive oil, castor oil and petrolatum; or an ester such as ethyl acetate, amyl acetate, glyceryl tristearate and benzyl benzoate.

    摘要： A method is disclosed for fluoridating teeth using a two component dentifrice system in which the first component is stable, semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a fluoride ion releasable hydrolyzable complex fluoride compound such as sodium fluorosilicate, in an aqueous vehicle in which xanthan gum is the major thickening agent and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof is the humectant, and the second component is a semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a calcium ion releasable compound and an abrasive in an aqueous vehicle containing xanthan gum as the major thickener and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof as the humectant. The first and second dentifrice compounds are maintained separate from the other until mixed for application to teeth.

    摘要： An oral composition such as a dentifrice, mouthwash, lozenge or chewing gum containing a polyphosphate anticalculus agent, such as tetraalkali metal pyrophosphate and antibacterial antiplaque agent compatible therewith. The antiplaque agent is a substantially water-insoluble noncationic antibacterial agent such as 2,4,4'-trichloro-2'-hydroxydiphenyl ether (Triclosan). Antiplaque effectiveness is optimized by the presence of an antibacterial-enhancing agent which enhances delivery of said antibacterial agent to, and retention thereof on, oral surfaces.

    摘要： An antiplaque oral composition, such as a toothpaste, gel dentifrice, tooth powder, mouthrinse or mouthwash, tooth hardener, anticalculus composition, gum or lozenge, comprises triclosan as an antiplaque component, the antiplaque action of which is unexpectedly and beneficially increased by the presence in the oral composition of a phenolic flavoring agent, such as eucalpytol, thymol, methyl salicylate, menthol, phenol, halogenated derivatives thereof, and mixtures thereof. Preferred such compositions are toothpastes, gel dentifrices and mouthrinses or mouthwashes. Also within the invention are processes of repeatedly applying such antiplaque oral compositions to the teeth to obtain the antiplaque benefits mentioned.
