摘要： A television tuner includes a surface acoustic wave filter that receives input of an intermediate-frequency signal; an integrated circuit for detecting the intermediate-frequency signal, the integrated circuit including a video detector and a voltage-controlled oscillator that supplies a local oscillation signal for synchronous detection to the video detector; and a tank circuit that is provided externally to the integrated circuit and that is connected to the voltage-controlled oscillator. The integrated circuit has balanced input terminals associated with a first edge, and two connecting terminals associated with a second edge opposite to the first edge. The balanced input terminals are connected to output terminals of the surface acoustic wave filter, and the connecting terminals are connected to the tank circuit. Both ends of the tank circuit are connected to the connecting terminals via two connecting lines, the connecting lines crossing each other only once between the connecting terminals and the tank circuit.

摘要： A water soluble resin obtainable by reacting at least two reactants comprising a polyamine and a urea compound, or at least four reactants comprising a polyamine, a urea compound, a dibasic carboxylic acid compound and a lactam; and then reacting the reaction product with at least one compound selected from among epihalohydrins, .alpha.,.gamma.-dihalo-.beta.-hydrins, glycidyl compounds and isocyanates. The resultant the water soluble resin is useful for making a paper coating composition, such as by being mixing that resin with a pigment and an aqueous binder. The paper coating composition does not generate formaldehyde and can be used to manufacture coated papers exhibiting improved properties including excellent water resistance.

摘要： A multi beam track system and method is used for the retrieving of information stored in optical memories like optical disks. The information carrying beams reflected on the surface of such a optical disk results in spots on the surface of a detector array. Because these beams are very close to each other, the resulting spots tend to overlap so that cross talk conditions between neighboring channels occur. As result the S/N ratio becomes worse. According to the present invention a plurality of laser beams arranged in a row is used, where the laser beams are linear polarized and the polarization of neighboring beams differ by 90.o slashed., i.e. neighboring laser beams have perpendicular linear polarization. After reflection on the surface of the optical disk the row of reflected laser beams is separated into two rows by an separating means which is polarization dependent so that beams are separated in space according to the polarization. Such a separator can be a polarizing beamsplitter or a birefringent prism crystal. As a result two spacially separated rows of laser beams are achieved, which can be detected by two separate detectors. As result no overlap between neighboring spots occurs on the surface of the detectors, resulting in the elimination of crosstalk.
