Abstract:
An apparatus and process for the dry removal of the scale from the surface of a metal product comprising at least one heating area that does not reduce the specific surface of the material to be treated and does not cause oxidation, at least one reducing area for performing the reaction between a specific reducing gas (normally hydrogen) and at least the scale, at least one cooling area for cooling the metal product, means for heating the metal product, means for heating the reducing gas, means for controlling the fluid dynamics of the boundary layer produced by the flow of said reducing gas over the surface of the metal product, means for removing the reaction products front the reducing gas after the reaction, means for cooling the metal product, and means for removing the reaction products from the treated surface of the metal product.
Abstract:
A titanium alloy that is created to be formed into a bearing component, wherein the titanium alloy comprises from 5 to 7 wt % Al, from 3.5 to 4.5 wt % V, from 0.5 to 1.5 wt % Mo, from 2.5 to 4.5 wt % Fe, from 2.5 to 4.5 wt % Fe, from 0.05 to 2 wt % Cr. The alloy can optionally include one or more of the following elements: up to 2.5 wt % Zr, up to 2.5 wt % Sn, and up to 0.5 wt % C. The balance of the composition comprises Ti together with unavoidable impurities.
Abstract:
A hydrophilic composition for use with a lubricating system comprises hydrophilic fibers having a diameter between 50 nm and 10 microns and a length that is at least 5 times the diameter. The hydrophilic fibers having a strong affinity for at least one of water and other hydrophilic fluids and may remove or eliminate free or dissolved water in a lubricating system comprising at least one of an oil and a lubricating fluid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gripping device that can be fitted to a shaft of a tool or a tube of a mobile structure, and is provided with means for fixing to said handle or said structure. Said grip comprises: a body (4) for fixing to the tool or the tube of the structure, said body having a semi-cylindrical grooved form (11) and being able to surround a shaft or a tube; a connecting element (14) which can receive, on one end, a means for fixing the body (4), and on the other end, a tube for receiving an arm (1); and an arm (1) which is provided with at least one handle (2 or 3) on the free end thereof.
Abstract:
A dry lubricant comprises at least 50 wt % of fibers having a diameter between 50 nm and 10 microns and a length that is at least 5 times the diameter.
