    摘要: An anvil assembly is described. The anvil assembly includes including an axis with a proximal and a distal portion, an anvil associated to the distal portion of the axis formed by a central portion and at least a remote rotating portion and a system for reducing the encumbrance of the assembly of the anvil and relative restoring of such encumbrance. This is possible thanks to a half-automatic system specifically activated by the user of the surgical instrument and/or by an automatic system integrated in the system for opening and closing the surgical instrument without the need of activating any specific mechanism. The reduction and the restoring of the anvil size is an advantage during the insertion and the removal of the anvil into and from the organ of the patient.

    摘要: A surgical stapling instrument (1) comprises a body portion (2, 3), a handle (4) and a staple fastening assembly (8). The staple fastening assembly (8) includes a curved cartridge (10), which comprises at least one curved open row of staples, and a curved anvil (22), which is adapted to cooperate with the cartridge (10) for forming the ends of the staples exiting from the cartridge (10). The staple fastening assembly (8) is adapted to allow unobstructed access towards the concave inner faces of the cartridge (10) and the anvil (22). The cartridge (10) can be moved towards the anvil (22) from a spaced position for positioning tissue therebetween to a closed position for clamping the tissue. Preferably, a knife is contained within the cartridge (10) and is positioned such that there is at least one row of staples on at least one side of the knife.

    摘要: An anoscope adapted for the suturing of hemorrhoids during a hemorrhoid removal procedure is disclosed. The anoscope has a distal conical tip, a channel body extending proximally from the distal conical tip and a flange radiused outwardly from the channel. A slot is formed in the channel body and runs longitudinally from the distal conical tip through the flange and is flanked by a pair of mutually opposed finger wings that extend out from the flange. The finger wings each have a distal finger wing tip and a concave surface embedded within the finger wing tips. The concave surfaces are sized for the placement of a finger of a user therein.
