摘要： An essentially all ceramic turbocharger for boosting the pressure of air inducted by an internal combustion engine has a housing made in two segments from ceramic material that define exhaust gas inlet and outlet passages and air inlet and outlet passages. A rotary unit formed of ceramic material is formed integrally with a turbine rotor and compressor rotor at opposite ends of the driveshaft. The driveshaft is supported within the housing on ceramic ball bearings whose races are surfaces formed on the driveshaft and housing segments within which ceramic radial and thrust bearings are fitted.

摘要： A method of making a duo density article of silicon nitride is disclosed. A first element is formed by hot pressing silicon nitride particles. The general shape of a second element is formed by injection molding silicon metal particles and a binder and subsequently burning out the binder. The second element is nitrided in a nitriding operation. Facing surface areas of the first element and the second element are bonded together by applying heat to both elements and pressure to one of the elements while the other element is held in a fixed position.

摘要： An apparatus for cleaning a moving surface having toner particles thereon, including: a housing defining an open ended chamber; means, disposed in the chamber of the housing with a portion thereof extending outwardly from the open end of the chamber of the housing into contact with the surface, for cleaning toner particles therefrom, the removed particles moving away from the cleaning means; means for lubricating the cleaning means, the lubricating means located downstream from the cleaning means, in a direction of motion of the surface, the lubricating means collecting and transporting toner particles from a center portion of the moving surface to both end portion of the moving surface; and an auger, located downstream from the cleaning means and the lubricating means, in the direction of motion of the surface, collecting the toner particles that escape from the lubricating means.
