The frame construction having opposed side panels and a rectangular border flange along a first end. The rectangular border flange projects outward from and extending around the opposed side panels. The first end is an inlet end or an outlet end of the filter element. The filter apparatus includes a filter frame adapter formed separately from the frame construction and secured to the frame construction to adapt the filter element for a different mounting interface. The filter frame adapter includes a pair of complimentary adapter flanges each projecting outward relative to one of the opposed side panels. The adapter flanges are at a second end that is opposite a first end. The second end is at the inlet end or the outlet end.

    摘要： A rigid filter for filtering particulate from a flowing fluid. The filter includes sintered polymer particles, with the polymer particles having a melt temperature. The filter includes fibers of material having a melt temperature higher than the melt temperature of the polymer particles. The polymer particles and the fibers are intermixed. A plurality of adhesion points are among the plurality of polymer particles. The plurality of adhesion points include melt fusion points and the plurality of adhesion points fix the polymer particles relative to each other to provide a rigid structure entrapping the fibers. A plurality of pores extends between the particles and fibers so as to allow fluid flow through the rigid filter. The fixed polymer particles block particles within the fluid during the flow of the fluid though the filter.

The system includes a filter chamber and a tubesheet dividing the filter chamber into a dirty air compartment and a clean air compartment, the tubesheet including a plurality of apertures therethrough. The system also includes a plurality of filter elements positioned in the dirty air compartment and coupled to the tubesheet in flow communication with a respective one of the plurality of apertures such that air entering the clean air compartment from the dirty air compartment passes through at least some of the plurality of filter elements and respective apertures and a shutter operatively positioned in the clean air compartment and configured to selectably cover at least one of the plurality of apertures.

The exterior surface is configured to removably engage a surface of a cartridge filter having an outlet. The internal opening has an inside dimension smaller than an inside dimension of the outlet of the cartridge filter to effectively reduce the inside dimension of the outlet. An inlet filter house including the cartridge filter and the cartridge filter insert are also provided. Methods of filtering a fluid using the cartridge filter and the cartridge filter insert within the inlet filter house are also provided.
