Abstract:
In one aspect, a method of dispensing a test strip is provided in which the dispensed test strip remains stationary while the inner housing moves within an outer housing. In another embodiment, a test strip dispenser is provided that dispenses one test strip at a time. The test strip dispenser includes a movable inner housing nested inside an outer housing. A test strip dispensing system is also described.
Abstract:
A content distribution system employs IP multicast techniques to facilitate in identifying software dynamically, and to facilitate in downloading the software from the appropriate server to diverse client receivers. The clients monitor multicasts from a server and utilize a master/slave hierarchy technique to assist in requesting desired software blocks. The server sends out multicasts with payloads that identity, for example, manufacturers and model numbers of client receivers. The client receivers can then listen and download the payloads that pertain to their specific models. The master/slave technique allows only a master client receiver to request software blocks. Once fulfilled, the master status can be passed to another client receiver to request software blocks.

Abstract:
A system and method for generating forensically marking image data from source material. A generated forensic mark will vary from copy to copy by using a selected forensic marking technique and forensic marking parameters that change from copy to copy of the source image data.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing control signals, comprising a processor coupled to a memory, for generating a signal sequence. The processor encodes the signal sequence into a plurality of symbols using a 5 pulse position modulated (5 PPM) scheme. Advantageously, the last position of each symbol encoded under the 5 PPM scheme is set to a low bit. The symbol sequence represents a signaling protocol having a payload portion and a header portion, wherein the header portion comprises a plurality of fields for defining the payload portion. The payload portion indicates keyboard characters or coordinates for a pointing device.
