    摘要： Systems and methods determine likely unintended flexing of a flexible display and exclude the determined unintended flexings from user input processing. Unintended flexings include placing or removing the flexible display into or out of a compact storage configuration, folds that outside the user's visible area, folds that are near edges and boundaries, flexing with a specified degree of bending or orientation, folds that don't intersect with other folds, folds that are near known unintended folds, folds that have a motion or other variation with time, and folds that are not in proximity to a selectable user interface element. Unintended flexings are adaptively identified by determining that a bend that is not in proximity to a selectable user interface element reoccurs at times when icons at different locations are presented on the flexible display.

    摘要： Systems and methods control resizing a presentation of an image on a flexible display. A user flexes a flexible display in a particular manner to control magnification or size reduction of the image presented on the display. The amount of magnification or size reduction of the image presented on a flexible display increases along with the absolute magnitude of flexible display flexing. The flexible display can be double flexed within a defined time to indicate that another action is to be taken, such as fitting the presently displayed document to the width of the flexible display or fitting the entire document to the flexible display. The direction of flexing, such as flexing in a concave or a convex direction, is a flexing characteristic that causes other desired actions.

The detected physical interaction can comprise one or more of a physical reorientation of the first device, a pivoting movement between the first device and the second device, a sliding movement between the first device and the second device, and a momentary change in physical proximity of the first device with respect to the second device. This activity can also include determining whether the physical interaction occurs within a predetermined period of time, and when the physical interaction does not occur within the predetermined period of time, prohibiting the automatic performing of the function.

    摘要： Disclosed are editing methods that are added to speech-based searching to allow users to better understand textual queries submitted to a search engine and to easily edit their speech queries. According to some embodiments, the user begins to speak. The user's speech is translated into a textual query and submitted to a search engine. The results of the search are presented to the user. As the user continues to speak, the user's speech query is refined based on the user's further speech. The refined speech query is converted to a textual query which is again submitted to the search engine. The refined results are presented to the user. This process continues as long as the user continues to refine the query. Some embodiments present the textual query to the user and allow the user to use both speech-based and non-speech-based tools to edit the textual query.
