摘要： A shock absorber for fifth wheel hitches for pickup trucks has a bushing embedded in memory polyurethane elastomer confined within a metal frame. The shock absorbers are mounted by brackets on the fifth wheel hitch support frame. The bushings receive pivot pins terminal to a cross beam mounting the couple assembly of the hitch. Both bushing and shock absorber frame have projections extending into the elastomer for better engagement. The projections can be studs or planar lugs. When the projections are loops of wire welded to the bushing and frame, the elastomer flows into the loops providing better engagement.

摘要： A grain elevator auger uses a hydraulic cylinder incorporating a checkvalve. This checkvalve enables the volume of hydraulic fluid required to raise the elevator to be reduced to that required to replace the extended piston rod, instead of the full volume of the cylinder. The necessary capacity of the tractor hydraulic system reservoirs which are used to raise the elevators are similarly lessened. The checkvalve prevents hydraulic pressure retracting the piston, pressure is equalized on both sides of the cylinder piston, which then retracts slowly under the weight of the elevator, rather than rapidly under hydraulic pressure.

摘要： A coupling between two auger conveyor tubes is formed from three linkages providing rotation about fixed axes arranged mutually at right angles. The coupling is formed by a pair of coaxial rings coupled by pivot pins, a second pivot pin connection and a rotational sliding fit connection between a spout of the first auger and one of the sleeves or between an inlet opening of the second auger and one of the sleeves. The coupling arrangement allows the use with a main auger of a feed auger which can be pivoted relative to the inlet of the main auger to a storage position and to various working positions to accommodate varying ground conditions and varying positions of discharge of the material to be conveyed.

摘要： A sliding closure (door or window) lock has a rectangular tubular enclosure which has a plunger mounted on am interior camshaft. Rotation of the camshaft by a handle or lever moves the plunger between an extended position, where its serrated outer end frictionally engages an interior surface of the channel for the closure, and a retracted position without frictional engagement. The enclosure has an adjacent apertured flange to secure it to an inner surface of the closure. The device may be made of two plates in which case one plate forms two walls of the enclosure and the flange, and the other the other two walls and a thickness of the flange. A stub flange also with apertures on remote corner of the enclosure allows the plates to be fastened at the other side of the enclosure.
