To produce a vessel prosthesis, a hose (12) is wrapped with a reinforcing thread (13) to avoid bending and clogging of the vessel prosthesis. The reinforcing thread (13) is wound substantially tensionless on the soft hose (12) thus prohibiting wavy deformations inside the hose. To exclude prior to the solidification of the adhesive connection a displacement of the reinforcing thread (13) being bonded to the hose, a band-shaped spacer (14) is wound up together with the reinforcing thread (13) and removed subsequently.

At least one second seat with second control devices for a second operator is provided in the vehicle cabin/the driver's cab in accordance with the invention, from which all of the essential driving and/or operating functions of the utility vehicle/construction machinery can likewise be controlled, including a steering function for the vehicle. Control elements are provided by means of which a higher standing is assigned to the second control devices when the first and second control devices are simultaneously actuated, so that the second control devices override the first control devices.

The object in an arrangement for pumping an anisotropic laser crystal is to reduce the influence of the destruction limit of the laser crystal on increased pump power density and, in this connection, to achieve improved beam quality and increased efficiency of a diode-pumped solid state laser. At the same time, the pump volume and cross-sectional area are to be kept as small as possible along a length of the crystal corresponding at least approximately to the absorption length. The arrangement operates with an asymmetric pump beam whose pump beam cross section has different dimensions perpendicular to one another and with a laser beam cross section which is adapted to this asymmetry. That axis of the crystallographic axes of the anisotropic laser crystal in whose direction the highest value of the crystal breaking limit exists is oriented along the greatest temperature gradient in the direction of the smaller dimension of the pump beam cross section.

Disclosed is an optical array for generating a broadband spectrum. The aim of the invention is to reduce the technical complexity of said optical array while keeping the source of laser radiation compact and adjusting in a simple manner the wavelength range of the broadband spectrum to the sensitivity range of conventional semiconductor detectors. Said aim is achieved by coupling in an optically adapted manner a passively mode-coupled solid body laser which supplies picosecond impulses having an initial wavelength that lies within the infrared range to a photonic fiber. A radiation performance interval of the broadband spectrum, which is maintained at an essentially steady intensity, is set within a wavelength range of 700 nm to 1000 nm below the initial wavelength by adjusting the dispersion of said photonic fiber to the initial wavelength. The broadband source of radiation is highly brilliant and can be used in white light interferometry (OCT, coherence radar, spectral radar) and in spectroscopy (pump-probe spectroscopy), among others.

The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for generating ultrashort laser pulses. The aim of the invention is to avoid the deterioration of the beam quality caused by the plurality of required revolutions, the accompanying loss of revolutions, and pulse broadening in regenerative amplifiers by means of a simpler and more cost-effective laser installation, and to provide ultrashort laser pulses with pulse repeat rates in an extended kHz range. In an installation consisting of a solid-state laser oscillator, a multi-stage laser amplifier which is arranged downstream therefrom and is used to increase the energy of pulses, and at least one switching element for selecting pulses from a pulse train provided by the solid-state laser oscillator, a small-signal gain higher than 10 is provided in an amplifying laser crystal in each amplification stage, the total small-signal gain produced by all amplifying laser crystals amounting to more than 100. In this way, ultrashort laser pulses having pulse lengths which are especially below 20 ps, pulse repeat rates between 1000 Hz and 10 MHz and pulse energies in the mJ range are generated, said ultrashort laser pulses being applicable in the fields of micromaterial machining and medicine.

A blower burner is provided for a boiler heated with fluid fuels with a blower casing, which incorporates on one side the blower with the attached drive motor and where the fire tube of the burner comes out on the other side. The motor and the fire tube form protruding parts on opposite sides of the blower housing. The rear side of the fire tube protrudes beyond the side of the casing disposed toward the drive motor and the rear side of the fire tube protrudes into a cover extension attachment of the blower casing. The burner is provided with a pressure controller, where the air pressure inside of the fire tube element is measured by the input sensor signal and where the blower speed is the variable controlled by the pressure controller. Furthermore, a sound absorbing means is provided for the blower burner.

The invention is directed to a method and an optical arrangement for the generation of a broadband spectrum in which wavelength regions are selected in an application-oriented manner already during spectrum generation in order to provide increased laser power. A passively mode-coupled solid-state laser provides picosecond laser pulses with an infrared output wavelength which is transformed to a secondary wavelength in the visible spectral range by nonlinear optical processes. The picosecond laser pulses are coupled into a nonlinear optical fiber which is optically adapted to the secondary wavelength with respect to dispersion and nonlinear characteristics, so that a radiation output interval comprising a visible wavelength region is selectively generated. The broadband spectrum has high brilliance and can be used, for example, in spectroscopy, microscopy, cytometry or for array readers.
