摘要： A panel mounted electrical connector is disclosed in combination with an equipment rack, multiple units of electronic equipment arranged in the rack, each unit having a connector in mating engagement with the connector mounted on the back panel of the rack. The panel mounted connector is arranged to align and hold in proper position multiple connectors, thereby forming a composite connector that mates with a mating composite connector on the unit of electronic equipment. Cutouts are provided in a surface of the composite connector so that cabling that is terminated to the connector may exit the connector at right angles thereto substantially parallel with the back panel.

摘要： A bus bar carrying electrical plug connector (2) for mating with a receptacle connector (4) mounted to float in the back panel (P2) of a drawer containing a power supply distribution module, comprises the rear insulating housing member (6), a bus bar and contact assembly (8) and a front insulating housing member (10). The bus bar assembly (8) comprises bus bars (32) from a forward longitudinal edge of each of which projects a socket contact (34), the opposite edge of each bus bar (32) being formed with a notch (40). The rear housing member (6) has a back wall (12) provided with a row of alternating merlons (28) and ribs (30). The front housing member (10) has through cavities (52) each for receiving a respective contact (34) and rearwardly opening slots (60) communicating with the cavities (52) for receiving the bus bars (32). When the housing members (6 and 10) are assembled together about the bus bar assembly (8), the ribs (30) engage in the notches (40) in the bus bars (32) and the merlons (28) engage opposite side faces of the bus bars (32) whereby the bus bars are supported in the connector (2).

Each module has a receptacle for receiving the bus bar when the module has been slid to a home position in the frame. Each receptacle is secured to a guide fork for guiding the receptacle into mating relationship with the bus bar, the guide fork being fixed to a slide block mounted on the module for sliding movement transversely of the rails to take up play between the module and the rails.

摘要： Connector assembly comprises plug housing and receptacle housing. The plug housing has a latch arm hinged to one of its sidewalls having a forward portion which extends towards the mating end. A plurality of removable keys are mounted on the plug housing adjacent to the forward portion of the latch arm. The latch arm has an inspection opening to determine the presence or absence of the keys. Keying is achieved by removing one of the keys and placing a key plug in the corresponding keyway in the receptacle. The latch arm has a rearward portion which extends towards the rearward face of the housing. Clearance slots are provided in the rearward portion for wires which extend through the clearance openings, through wire-admitting slots in the housing sidewall and to terminals in the housing. The clearance slots permit the rearward portion of the latch arm to be depressed thereby to raise the forward portion when the plug housing is latched to, or unlatched from, the receptacle housing.

摘要： Electrical contact terminal comprises an elongated metal strip which has been folded along a medial transverse fold line to form two side-by-side arms. A wire-receiving slot is provided at the fold. The arms have parallel portions adjacent to the fold and converging portions extending from the parallel portions. Contact zones are provided on the ends of the converging portions. A brace extends between the arms and restrains movement of the arms away from each other. The location of the brace determines the contact force exerted on the complementary mating terminal device. The terminal is manufactured in strip form and in a condition such that the contact zones are spaced apart when the terminals are attached to the strip. The contact zones can therefore be plated with a conductive metal.

摘要： Tap connector assembly comprises a housing having standard cable connectors mounted in its sidewalls in back-to-back relationship. A circuit board is contained in the housing and wire conductors extend from the terminals in the standard cable connectors across the surface of the circuit board to connect corresponding terminals in the connectors to each other. A plurality of displation type terminals are mounted in the circuit board and selected conductors extending between the standard cable connectors are inserted into the slots in the displation connectors. The displation connectors have integral solder posts which are soldered to circuit board conductors on the underside of the circuit board. The circuit board conductors extend to solder posts on modular jacks which are mounted on the circuit board adjacent to its end edges. The plug receiving openings in the jacks are accessible from the outside of the housing. Standard cable connectors on the ends of cables are mated with the standard cable connectors in the assembly and modular plugs on the ends of tap cables are inserted into the modular jacks in the tap connector assembly.

The legs are independently pivotally mounted on the hub and are each arcuately movable from a closed position, in which they are clustered around the tripod axis, to an extended position in which they may extend at an angle of up to about 120 degrees from the axis. The leg clamping means comprises a locking dog for each of the legs and a single clamping member which is movable between an unlocking and a locking position. When the clamping member is in its locking position, the legs are securely clamped against arcuate movement.

摘要： A housing for a piezoelectric audio transducer comprises a molded cylindrical body having a transducer-receiving recess. Supporting surfaces are provided in the recess spaced from the inner end surface of the recess for supporting the transducer in spaced relationship to the inner end. Terminal receiving wells are provided in the inner end surface and a contact terminal is mounted in each well. A cantilever spring extends obliquely upwardly from each recess and has a contact portion which bears against a transducer supported on the supporting surfaces. Conductors extend from the terminals to the driving circuit for the transducer.
