Abstract:
A method for processing geophysical data. The method includes applying a first interferometry on an estimate of a direct ground roll between a receiver location and one or more boundary source locations and an estimate of a direct ground roll between one or more boundary receiver locations and each boundary source location to generate an interferometric estimate of a direct ground roll between the receiver location and each boundary receiver location. The method then includes applying a second interferometry on geophysical data between the source location and each boundary receiver location and the interferometric estimate of the direct ground roll between the receiver location and each boundary receiver location to generate an interferometric estimate of a direct and scattered ground roll between the source location and the receiver location. After applying the second interferometry, the method then includes removing the interferometric estimate of the direct and scattered ground roll between the source location and the receiver location from geophysical data acquired at the receiver location due to a source at the source.

A rack includes a loading chute into which products are loaded in a generally horizontal face-down orientation, and a dispensing chute defining a dispensing aperture at the front side of the rack. A cam is disposed at the rear end of the loading chute to tilt a product into an upright orientation and to position the upright product with the front face facing forward. The cam also slopes downwardly in a lateral direction so as to move the upright product onto the rear end of the dispensing ramp with the front face still facing forward. The product slides down the dispensing ramp and is stopped by a stop positioned adjacent the dispensing aperture. By virtue of the rack's design, facilitated by the specially designed cam, the upright product is positioned with its front face facing forward such that a consumer can view any indica thereon.

A method and apparatus for measuring a liquid level using a liquid level gauge having reed switches to determine the position of a magnetic float. Firstly, providing an elongate float having an axial bore defining a longitudinal axis. The float has a plurality of magnets axially spaced along the longitudinal axis to form magnetic layers. Secondly, providing a tube having a first end and a second end. A plurality of magnetically activated reed switches are equally axially spaced from the first end to the second end. The tube extends through the axial bore of the float. Thirdly, determining which of the plurality of magnetically activated reed switches have been activated by the axially spaced magnetic layers of the float and interpolating float position in relation to the activated reed switches.

Methods of acquiring and processing seismic data using derivative sensors, such as strain sensors, that facilitate ground roll noise attenuation with seismic interferometry are disclosed. The methods use both seismic data and their spatial derivatives in computing ground-roll noises which are removed from processed seismic data.

Methods and systems are disclosed to enhance surveying techniques. In one embodiment, a virtual response is estimated that corresponds to energy propagated within a subsurface region between a virtual source and a virtual source estimation receiver, wherein the subsurface region corresponds to a survey zone including: a plurality of receivers deployed within the survey zone, a first subzone having at least one actual source, a second subzone within the first subzone; the virtual source is a first receiver disposed in the second subzone; and the virtual source estimation receiver is a second receiver.

Methods are disclosed to treat or prevent at least one disease or condition in a subject in need thereof comprising administering a compound of Formula (I): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or ester thereof,wherein R1 and R2 are independently chosen from a hydrogen atom or linear, branched, and/or cyclic C1-C6 alkyl groups, with the proviso that R1 and R2 are not both hydrogen or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof. Such diseases or conditions may relate to coronary heart disease (CHD), for example atherosclerosis; metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance; and/or a dyslipidemic condition such as hypertriglyceridemia (HTG), elevated LDL-cholesterol, elevated total-cholesterol, elevated Apo B and low HDL-cholesterol.The present disclosure further provides for a method of reducing atherosclerosis development. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of Formula (I) are also disclosed.
