摘要: Compositions and methods are provided for stacking multiple independent transgenic loci into the genome of a plant. Compositions include plants, seeds or plant cells comprising at least one transgenic target site and at least one genomic locus of interest integrated at different genomic sites within a genomic window. Plant breeding techniques can be employed such that the transgenic target site and the genomic locus of interest can be bred together. In this way, multiple independent transgene integrations can be generated within a genomic window to create a complex trait locus. The complex trait locus is designed such that the transgenic target sites and/or genomic loci of interest can segregate independently of each other, thus providing the benefit of altering a complex trait locus by breeding-in and breeding-away specific elements. Various methods can also be employed to modify the target sites such that they contain a variety of polynucleotides of interest.

The resistance may be newly conferred or enhanced relative to a control plant. The methods use maize markers on chromosome 10 to identify, select and/or construct resistant plants. 摘要: The invention relates to gene expression regulatory sequences, specifically introns that act as enhancers of gene expression, the promoter and terminator sequences endogenously associated with these introns. 摘要: The present invention is directed to compounds comprising a perfluoroelastomer and a blend of two different particle size carbon blacks that, when cured with a curing agent, comprise a heterocyclic or perfluorinated crosslink. Such compounds comprise copolymerized units of unsaturated fluorinated olefins, a perfluoro(vinyl ether), and a cure site fluorinated monomer having a nitrile cure site, plus a blend of carbon blacks. Articles cured from these compounds exhibit improved sealing force.

摘要: A novel method for prediction of the degree of heterotic phenotypes in plants is disclosed. Structural variation analyses of the genome are used to predict the degree of a heterotic phenotype in plants. In some examples, copy number variation is used to predict the degree of heterotic phenotype. In some methods copy number variation is detected using competitive genomic hybridization arrays. Further, methods for optimizing the arrays are disclosed, together with kits for producing such arrays, as well as hybrid plants selected for development based on the predicted results.
