    摘要: A bonding device and bonding process for a surface skin member of a vehicle interior component which can reliably fold back and secure a peripheral part of a surface skin member onto the reverse surface of a core member without involving any positional deviation between the core member and the surface skin member even when the width of the peripheral part is small. A block of elastic material is used for a lower die for mounting a surface skin member in a bonding station, and slide bars are arranged around the lower die in a peripheral part folding back station disposed adjacent to the bonding station for provisionally shaping the peripheral part of the surface skin member. Further, vertically moveable bars are arranged around an upper die for mounting the core member thereon for pressing the peripheral part of the surface skin member which has been provisionally shaped against the reverse surface of the core member.

    摘要: Proposed is a green ceramic body prepared from an aqueous slurry of a rare earth oxide powder capable of giving an aqueous slurry having greatly improved stability of the aqueous slurry thereof in respect of the consistency over a long period. The improved rare earth oxide powder can be prepared by: (a) blending a rare earth oxide powder with a flux composition which is, for example, a combination of a boron oxide constituent and an oxide, carbonate or chloride of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal element in an amount in the range from 0.1 to 5% by weight based on the rare earth oxide powder to give a uniform blend; (b) calcining the blend at a temperature of 1200.degree. to 1400.degree. C. for 0.5 to 24 hours; (c) cooling the calcined blend to room temperature to give a semi-sintered mass; (d) disintegrating the semi-sintered mass into a powdery form hav-ing a specific surface area not exceeding 3 m.sup.2 /g; and (e) subjecting the powder to a leaching treatment with water to remove any water-soluble fraction of the flux composition.

    摘要: An intake system, for use with an internal combustion engine having a plurality of intake valves for each cylinder, includes a plurality of intake ports, opening into the combustion chamber side of the internal combustion engine at different distances from a spark plug of the cylinder. The intake valves are controlled to keep an intake port located at the shortest distance from the spark plug opened only slightly in an early intake cycle stage while opening the other intake ports at their desired timings. The intake port located at the shortest distance from the spark plug is subsequently opened at a desired timing, thereby aspirating a substantial quantity of air through the closest intake port at a later time than through the other intake ports.

    摘要: A direct-injection spark-ignition engine includes a spark plug provided approximately at the center of the ceiling of a combustion chamber, and an injector having at its downstream end a nozzle which is located in an upper peripheral area of the combustion chamber, in which multiple openings are formed in the nozzle of the injector. Fuel is injected from the nozzle of the injector directly toward the proximity of an electrode of the spark plug. The directions of axis lines of the individual openings are set such that central points of fuel jets spewed out of the individual openings do not lie on the spark plug but are distributed around the electrode, slightly separated therefrom.

    摘要: Proposed is a powder consisting of rare earth oxide-based composite particles having an average particle diameter in the range from 0.1 to 100 .mu.m, each of which has a composite structure consisting of a core of a rare earth oxide and a coating layer of a rare earth hydroxide, the coating layer of the rare earth hydroxide having an average thickness of at least 5 nm but not exceeding 10% of the average particle diameter of the composite particles. While a rare earth oxide powder is useful as a sintering aid of a ceramic powder which is used in molding usually in the form of an aqueous slurry, the composite particles when added to an aqueous slurry of a ceramic powder exhibit a remarkable effect as a viscosity stabilizer or gelation inhibitor of the aqueous slurry so that improvements can be obtained in the productivity of the manufacturing process and quality of ceramic products.

    摘要: A clock distribution system includes a clock generation and distribution part for generating a clock signal and distributing the generated clock signal to a plurality of destinations, slots in each of which a clock reception unit can be detachably mounted, and a plurality of transmission lines coupling the clock generation and distribution part to the slots. Each slot includes a circuit for generating a mount state signal which indicates whether or not the slot is mounted with a clock reception unit, and for supplying the mount state signal to the clock generation and distribution part via a transmission line. This mount state signal has a first state when no clock receiving unit is mounted in the slot and has a second state when a clock receiving unit is mounted in the slot. The clock generation and distribution part includes a circuit for receiving the mount state signal from each slot and for transmitting via the transmission line the clock signal to each slot from which a mount state signal having the second state is received.
