    摘要： The present invention provides a rare metal/platinum-group metal extractant, which has a completely new structure compared with the conventional rare metal/platinum-group metal extractant and which exhibits excellent extraction performance; it also provides a method for extracting rare metals and platinum-group metals using the extractant. The rare metal/platinum-group metal extractants of the present invention is the one to extract rare metals and platinum-group metals by contacting a solution, in which several kinds of rare metals and platinum-group metals are dissolved, with a solution in which a cyclic phenol sulfide of the following Formula (1) is dissolved to make the rare metals and platinum-group metals move into the cyclic phenol sulfide solution.

    摘要： A silver halide color photographic photosensitive material comprising a base having thereon a non-photosensitive intermediate layer sandwiched between a high-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a low-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer both having a nondiffusion coupler that forms substantially the same color and having photosensitivity in substantially the same spectral region is disclosed. Said non-photosensitive intermediate layer has incorporated therein with a nondiffusion coupler that forms substantially the same color as that formed by the nondiffusion coupler contained in said high-sensitive emulsion layer and whose coupling speed is not greater than that of the nondiffusion coupler contained in said high-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer.

    摘要： An umbrella cover for covering a closed umbrella is provided. The umbrella cover comprises a cylindrical roll of a spirally wound strip which may be elongated by axially pulling out the outer end of the the wound strip. The inner end of the wound strip is secured to the ferrule of the umbrella. The strip has formed therein a plurality of parallel slits extending at a predetermined tilt angle in relation to the longitudinal axis of the strip, and a plurality lips which have a configuration capable of engaging with the slit. The strip is wound such that the lip in one turn of the spirally wound strip is engaged with the slit in the adjacent turn of the wound strip so that the lip can slide along the slit upon elongation of the cylindrical roll, and such an engagement of the lips in the slit prevents the wound strip from being excessively pulled out. The strip may comprise two overlaid film tapes each having the slits or the lips formed therein, or one film tape having the both.

    摘要： A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material. A support has thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a non-light-sensitive layer adjacent to the silver halide emulsion layer. The silver halide emulsion layer contains a cyan coupler having Formula (I) and a compound having Formula (II). The non-light-sensitive layer contains a compound having Formula (II) ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrogen atom or a group which can be split off by the coupling reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; R.sub.1 is an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; and R.sub.2 is a ballasting group necessary to cause the cyan coupler having the Formula (I) and the cyan dye formed from the cyan coupler to be nondiffusible ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or a cycloalkyl group each having from 3 to 20 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms.

    摘要： A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is improved in a developing stability, whose red density-green density balance is hardly affected even by change in a developing condition. The photographic material comprises a support and, provided on a side of the support, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. The total thickness of the layers provided on the emulsion coated side of the suport, is within the range of from 5 to 18 .mu.m. The red-sensitive emulsion layer contains a cyan-dye forming coupler and a clored cyan-dye forming coupler, and a ratio of the colored cyan-dye forming coupler to the total amount of the cyan-dye forming coupler and the colored cyan-dye forming coupler is within the range of from 15 to 80 mol %.
